  1. Is using a second keyboard more difficult than programming in an additional macro to elevate your inputs effectively turning your main-keyboard into this keyboard? Cause I feel this is already possible, and also I could swear AHK, and voice attack as well, now have this LUA functionality built in. Edit: I know nothing about anything, I just use AHK because I hate pressing 6 buttons when I only have to press one. I'm an AHK forum dweller because everyone who knows anything on their website are all almost exclusively douche bags. I don't know, or care to help figure out, how to make your code easier for you to use because it would take me weeks to be of any use. Sorry if this bit seems mean. I feel if I had to do this, especially if I had to do this for any content creation that required any art of any kind I'd much prefer to work to get my macros to fit into the Chroma, and with a mod turn it's 8-way d-pad effectively into a joystick. I know some people in the art school a few miles from me that do actually use the chroma with scripting they got from the CS majors, I'd love to compare their code to yours.
  2. I know 2.0 x4 vs 3.0 x4 will drop the samsung 950 pro from 2.5gb/s read and 1.2gb/s write down to 700mb/s read&write. There are adapters you can use tho.
  3. I could swear I saw some new Cry-engine stuffs from Star Citizen content creators with some sort of proof that DX12 won't be the master of 6 cores like everyone seems to think. It'll certainly better utilize those cores, and yes performance of the 5820K is noted.. what's leaning me towards z170 is the motherboards coming with usb 3.1, usb type c, proper m.2 support at 32Gbp/s instead of 10 which in real world testing drops the read/write speeds to 700 mb/s as shown in the NCIX review of the Samsung 950 pro.. also, it's the new shiny.
  4. This is a build up to Pascal, I'll be waiting for sales to obtain these items, or similar ones that are found on sale up until Pascal comes out with non-reference boards. It usually takes a couple weeks or months for non reference boards to come out, with the 900 series ASUS broke that trend releasing a the STRIX card less than a week after the release of the reference boards. I have to factor that in, as well as the ambiguous release date info we've received. The long and short of it: now is the time, or rather a few months ago would have been the time, to start waiting around for sales and developing a proper build. I plan to buy a x80ti when it becomes available.. and then likely another one soon after. What I do: Gaming Content Creation Host Podcasts, DND sessions Create fun things in Cry-engine, CAD-software, Music, I love Star Citizen it's my daily driver for sure concierge yada yada, top hats the whole bit. I am a power user who goes through Terrabytes of data a month. I'm also a noob, this is my second PC build as the tag (which I hope found it's way into my post) shows. I'm 23, I only keep up to date with tech videos, articles, and news when I'm buying stuff so I've been absent for the last 6 months. I'm looking for holes in my build: For instance, the ASUS 1170 Deluxe can only use it's M.2 slot by "disabling one of the SATA express slots." As the manufacturers says, cursory glances lead me to realize the Deluxe board only comes with 1 SATA express slot, so that means no SATA express slot, and no regular SATAx2 usage because, another nifty thing I learned, SATA express slots can be used instead by two regular SATA cables. Also, utilizing SLI on the board, must be done at PCIe Gen 3.0 x8 speeds meaning there will be a likely ~1-2% performance loss in terms of gameplay frames per second if I was using x16 lanes. This leads me to ask questions like, is there a MOBO that will offer all these awesome features and also the ability to use two x16 slots? Should I even be getting a $300 Motherboard, is it worth it to have a better inbuilt sound solution and built in WiFi, with all kinds of USB 3.1 support including USB type C? When will my board be using any of those technologies to their fullest? Some things are noticeably absent from the above list of parts, please assume I own them already. for clarification: My monitor: I use a Vizio M60-c3 60 inch 4k TV for a monitor right now. It doesn't have 4:4:4 chroma so text can get hard to read when I try to use 4 1080P sized windows to multi-task, I feel much more useful using AHK scripting with multiple virtual desktop environments is easier for me to use than multiple monitors. However, if Pascal comes with display port 1.3 giving us 4k at 120HZ I'll certainly be upgrading to whatever monitor/TV offers those features with less than 40ms lag times. My Storage Solution: 500GB proabably doesn't seem like much. Things I already have thoug hare a WD Black 3TB HDD and a Samsung 850 EVO 1tb which I actually just purchased a couple days ago, it was on sale. LTT video pointing out how I could be an idiot for spending $300 on a MOBO I won't every fully utilize
  5. No horrible for a GPU that's sparked and a CPU that got ripped out when it stuck to the NH-D14 cooler I tried to remove. But I wonder what the test will show when we are playing actual games in VR, not this cabbage patch garbage.
