  1. Okay I'll try to keep this simple and only say what needs to be said. I am trying to get rid of the Ketchup and mustard cables that came with my power supply without replacing the PSU. -My idea is buying a Cable extension kit from cablemod (https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-basic-cable-extension-kit-66-pin-series-black-blue/) -My dilemma is that my GPU requires a 1x6pin PCI-e AND 1x8-pin PCI-e. The kit I'm looking at has an 8 pin "EPS" cable I am wondering If i can use the "eps" extender as if it were a PCI-e extender. The EPS cable I am using currently is sleeved black and tucked literally into the corner of my motherboard so I don't really need to extend or replace that cable. I just want to know if I can use the 8 pin extension cable in the kit (EPS) on my graphics card. Below I will include some pics to my build (https://pcpartpicker.com/b/fChqqs) so we all have a visual idea of what I'm trying to do here. I'll also upload a couple pictures of specifically what I'm trying to do here. Thank you in advance.
  2. My advise, would be to invest in a good starting microphone like the Blue Yeti and make sure that you have the hardware to make quality content. On the software side for starting out you will be fine with free programs like OBS, Shadowplay and Windows movie maker. Eventually you will know what you want out off your content and can mold your channel to reflect that.
  3. Hey, I added you on steam. My gta5 is through social club username: duboges
  4. Yes, if you're connecting wirelessly to a router then there is your main source of high ping. Alternatively you could check the route that your packets are being sent to the server with programs like pingplotter and the like. (to check for jitter or packet loss)
  5. As long as I can test the product and ensure it works I would buy used at a discount of no less than 25% retail price. That's what the peace of mind of buying BNIB from a reputable retailer is really worth to me. I also bought a 4770k used.
  6. Even if they do, I'd like to hold onto 8.1 as long as I can. I admit its not the best version of windows but it does the job and I just don't need Windows 10 at this point.
  7. Okay so basically I have Windows 8.1 and microsoft wants me to have windows 10. Does anyone know how to permanently disable the upgrade notifications and reminders that pop-up in my notification bar? Every once in a while I come back to my computer and there is an annoying pop-up that prompts me to upgrade to windows 10. Much appreciated
  8. 1440p monitors are mad expensive yo wait a year when we have 69k panels and 1440 will be reasonably prices
  9. Very solid build. You will mash allover 1080p, consider looking into other headsets though, the overall quality of the kingston cloud headset isnt very good. Also if you plan of streaming consider getting a studio microphone.
  10. First game I remember playing, must have been around 1996-97.
  11. 1- Go into twitch channels and ask streamers what their specs are (first check their info panels to make sure they dont have a titan x, or yet multiple). 2- Then act impressed and say you have you have a titan x. 3-Then ask if its better than theirs. always beware of counter-troll
  12. I would wait. I also have a 970 and it serves me more than well for 1080p gaming. I eventually want to upgrade my monitor situation to a main 1440p panel at which point I will seriously consider upgrading to a 980ti. Thats not accounting for pascal gpu's releasing sometime this year. I personally would prefer a single gpu to running sli/crossfire. Software(game) devs seem to care less and less about making games compatible with sli/crossfire.
  13. I think we're ready - I've literally never considered a name for my PC until now. - 4770k -Gtx 970 -2x4Gb
