  1. Dear all, Backstory: In February i had brain surgery and now i can't bear the feeling of a headset on my head anymore... Which is a problem because up to now I've always used a Razer kraken v2 to play games with the buddies. Up to now I've put the headset around my neck and tried it that way, but that get's annoying fast. So i'm searching for a solution. (PS: I've lost hearing through one of my ears so it's mono sound life for me) Budget €100 - €150 for the full solution. As i see it i have 2 options: 1. Buy one of those conference call hub things (any recommendations ?) 2. Buy dedicated speakers + microphone I've been looking at: -> BOYA Condensator microfoon USB (BY-PM500) -> TRUST Multimedia speaker Asto GXT 618 (22209) The one thing i'm really afraid of is that i'm gonna be creating a feedback loop. I want to avoid my friends hearing my game sounds and there voice coming through the speakers. Because we usually use discord with auto activation on audio level. I'm just really looking for some advise and some reassurance before i go spend money on a sup-par solution. All input is much appreciated. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ My current setup: Intel core i7-6700K EVGA GTX 980 Ti Superclocked +ACX 2.0+ 2x Kingston 8G RAM ASUS STRIX Z270E gaming 3x LG 23MP67VQ-P (Ex) Razer fanboy: Razer deathadder Razer deathstalker Razer kraken v2 Trust Trino webcam (got from work #covid) Hand sanitizer (#covid)
  2. Yeah, ... all of a sudden ... now it seems to work properly ... never had that before ... Anyhow i am gonna see if i can find another USB-headset to test my pc and i am gonna search for another laptop/pc to test my headset Thank you for you assistance
  3. Why would my surround be doing funky stuff as well ?
  4. Hello everyone, Today my sound started to act up. When i plug in my regular 'jack'-headset i have nice stereo sound. If i plug in my USB-headset (Razer kraken pro 7.1), i only get sound through the left side. BUT It gets weirder ... when i plug in my 7.1 surround sound system (via HDMI on my motherboard) i get sound trough all the speakers, BUT only music, speech / dialogue seems to be muffled all the way into the background. So watching series is a nightmare ... Things i have tried: -> uninstalled Razer synapse and Razer surround. -> uninstalled any other sound related software i could find (Realtek HD audio manager) -> checked to make sure that balance is equal to left and right sound within windows. (Properties -> level -> balance) Using Windows 10 x64, other details of my set up you should be able to find on my profile. Thank you for trying to help! If you have any follow-up question do not hesitate to ask!
  5. Hah, this is crazy, i was thinking of doing exactly the same
  6. Dear all, Lately i've been noticing that my second hard drive keeps spinning, while my external hard drive gets switched off as requested in my power management. I thought it were my fans i was hearing but after opening up my case it was the spinning drive. Now that i've noticed it, my paranoia has activated... I've been monitoring the recourse manager and it's not reading or writing anything to the drive for hours and it doesn't want to stop spinning ... while my external drive (connected to USB) does. Anyone who has any idea's or had the same issue ? cheers
  7. Hey everyone, I guess most off you saw the GTX1080 release event. During the presentation Jen-Hsun introduced something called 'Simultaneous Multi Projection' and as a triple screen user i am very interested in this feature. However only 6 months ago i bought a GTX 980Ti and i'm quite annoyed that this feature gets released in another couple of months with the new series. Is there any chance this is more a software thing like "Ansel" that they introduced as well, so i'l be able to do 'Simultaneous Multi Projection' with my GTX 980Ti or is this closely linked to their new Pascal architecture. In which case the Maxwell architecture in the GTX 9XX-cards won't be able to run this feature. The introduction of 'Simultaneous Multi Projection' took me by surprise, because to be honest there current 'Nvidia Surround'-software isn't very good Introducing this should have impact on their implementation of 'Nvidia Surround' as well, i would think...
  8. Checked my Bios, Integrated graphics was defined as "Auto" which defaulted to "disable" in my case. Forcing it onto "Enable" solved my problem Thank you guys for the fast response, let the good times role. @spwath i hope yours got resolved in the end ? @Rmusic10891 thank you for your response, i will keep it in mind if i run into any similar issues when i buy my overhead monitor
  9. I've been using Freemake: http://www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/ It lets you choose what format you want it in and adjust the quality settings.
  10. Hello everyone, Recently i bought myself a brand new beast of a computer and i already had a 5.1 surround sound system. Before i had my computer i used to hook up my laptop to my amplifier with an hdmi cable and stream the sound through it, which worked perfectly. Now i am running 3 displays of of my "Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 Ti" (2 via displayport (these are diplayport to hdmi cables) + 1 via hdmi). Now i tried connecting my amplifier via hdmi to the hdmi port i still have available on my motherboard, but it doesn't seem to find it when i connect it. Is this normal ? Anyone who can help me resolve my issue? 12. Sagitta Spectrum mouse, I'm a design engineer, i work with a mouse all day and my employer is to cheap to buy a descent one. It wouldn't only make my day much more comfortable, it might even have medical benefits in the long run. cheers, love the channels, Dieter
