So I need a little guidance on a new monitor to replace this 1366x768 VGA-only TV mess, but there are so many options and I have a very limited budget.
It will be used for video/photo editing and casual computering with a lot of video watching.
Budget (USD): $100-160 (possibly up to $200 if the higher price is worth it)
Requirements:
- Available new from Amazon (US), Newegg, Micro Center
- 1080p (or 1920x1200, but that seems out of my price range)
- Matte
- Decent color (or at least color that isn't tragically horrid)
- VESA mounting holes (or an adjustable stand that elevates the monitor to a decent height)
- At least one DVI or HDMI port
Preferred brands:
- Dell
- Asus
- LG
- Acer
Monitors I'm considering:
- ASUS VE247H
- LG 24M38H-B
- Asus VE228H
- LG 23MP47HQ
- Dell SE2416HX (only thing it doesn't have is the VESA mount)
If there is a monitor that has everything except the VESA mount I might be able to deal with that.
Thanks in advance, forum people!
