  1. I don't post on these things often. But this is such an epic build look far.. imo of course.
  2. 1. Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (SNES) 2. Masters of Orion II (PC) 3. Half Life (PC) 4. Mass Effect 2 (PC - for me) 5. Super Mario 3 (NES)
  3. My bad luck is usually with power supplies. Almost 99% of that of course stims from when I was to dumb to not use the cheapo that came in cheapo cases I used to use when I was, again, young and dumb. But because of this I will always spend the little extra money on a good power supply.
  4. I have built around 8 since the 90's. Also bought a few custom systems inbetween as well. While those bought systems were way more money than they were worth in the end I did learn a lot from the designs and such to make me a much better builder. But most of that was before it was easy to just load up a video and see how its all done on the internet.
  5. Fairly sure the 290x only has one advanage over the 970 and that is the wider memory bus and maybe some shader units? The 970 is newer generation. Lower power. Higher speeds. Likely a ton cooler as well. 970 just is a better card right now, not to mention cheaper. Sounds like the way to go.
  6. Intel Pentium MMX and if I recall correctly it was 200 MHz. Man it was such a beast at the time.
  7. I hold no loyalty to a company. They all boil down to greed driven corporations. If you become loyal they will use it against you and start releasing sub standard products. It is pretty much what happened to video game consoles. They know they can release substandard stuff because their fan base will blindly buy their name. Weather it is the shameless AMD vs Intel or shameless Nvida vs AMD debates I always start at the line. Look at them both. Compare them both. Make a choice base off of what I see, research, availability, and price/budget. Not much more than that. I have had them all.
  8. Civilization 5, Mass Effect ganes, Skyrim have all really been play and played again so many times it is almost laughable. Usually these games only get replaced by there next game in the line.
  9. It is a straight port. They did certain things like made it scale half way decent to 1080p. But nothing major. If you are a big fan of the game you will like it. If not don't expect your socks to be knocked off.
  10. Masters of Orion needs a current gen game that is done right. Its been a long time and its last game, 3, was the suck.

    Audio Advice

Want to thank the people that tossed advice. The Mayflower O2+ODAC is a pretty great amp. I really love the build quality and it really puts out some good juice. I ended up going for the DT990's 250ohm. I have to say the mids are freaking amazing in those things. The guys I am going to work for are going to get me some professional headphones for doing the work. So when I get with them I will figure out the budget there and then might be asking some more questions. Thanks again!

    Audio Advice

Well the audio editting is going to be for editting VODs. So voical lay over with background sound. My music of choice really is mixed. Honestly so mixed that its hard to pin down. My current set up is just an old console hold over with like 2012 A40s. So nothing special. Your basic package deal but the phones themselves are starting to get a little aged.

    Audio Advice

Been looking to upgrade my PC audio solutions for some time now. Here is what I am looking for 1. A DAC that drives the: 2. Solid headphone. My bugget is in the ballpark for 450-500$ US. But if a few extra bucks gets me into the next level I am not affraid to spend a hair more as well. I should also say that when it comes to the headphone and DAC setup bass isn't the primary goal. Not to say I don't want any, but I am not a bass head by any means. Quility of the sound is the primary thing I am looking for. It will be used for gaming, but it will used with a lot of video and audio editing I am starting to get involved with. Going to mention that style isn't something I am to worried about either. It will just be something that hangs in my personal office at the house.
  14. I usually have my top played game or two on my SSD. After they become less and less played they get rotated down to the normal HD and newer ones step into the SSD slots. Although in todays age it doesn't seem like loading is as massive of a deal anymore.
  15. It would. But the blind arrogance that will likely put them in the bread line won't allow it. Not that I think HD FF7 would be some sort of amazing deal but it would sell. So many people would buy it just because. If they just kept the games to what their core fans loved they likely would have gone on forever and from time to time would make massive hits. But instead they wanted to force mega box office smashes for every title and for that reason I have no doubt a fresh grave is ready for them sooner rather than later.
