  1. Cool answer. Definitely cool to know. However it is in a laptop and will screw my warranty if I do something like that to it. But have a cookie anyway
  2. With all the random tech I have around the house, I don't seem to have a hub. However I would like to see if this can be solved with in the software of my computer first since the main use of my ultrabook is to keep things as simple and tidy as possible with a minimal amount of cables for travel.
  3. This is a very unique question. I have a wireless Logitech F710 that I use to game while traveling with my laptop. The trouble is that the controller cuts out every once in a while for a second which can turn into a tragedy in a racing game, for example. After a bit of googleing, I discovered that the usb 3.0 port that the wireless usb transmitter is plugged into is causing a lot of interference. It is recommended to plug it into a 2.0 port, which I do not have. Is there any sort of usb driver or something out there that can trick one of my usb 3.0 ports to dumb down to a 2.0 port? I will be very proud of this forum if someone finds a solution.
  4. Hey forum. I am going on a trip to Germany next year and I need a laptop mainly to get my gaming fix on the long plane ride from here in North America. I also will need it to store photos and do other little things. What laptops are out there that aren't costly and can run the latest games at maybe 60fps on low-medium settings on a 13 inch screen (maybe 14 inches)? Battery life is important, but I understand that I will have to make some compromises if I want to play games. I don't want to buy a laptop that is labled a "gaming laptop" as I don't want to spend that much money. Just a well rounded portable laptop. So what laptop should I get? Does anyone have any recomendations for laptop sizes for those little plane tables?
  5. long story. Basically my file explorer doesn't see the drive because it isn't formatted properly and by saving a file to it, it will be.
  6. I meant through the command prompt, as the title said... I'm not that stupid
  7. I am using windows 7. I want to save a file to my E:\ drive, in no specific folder, just E:\ . How would I go about doing that?
  8. I applied to join the platoon but it says the max number of members has been reached. Any way of upping the member count? And yes I would be down for the event.
  9. Makes me feel warm inside when companies give special discounts to students like me.
  10. Yeah, I don't think this kind of stuff is part of the USA's democracy. Unless some politician values votes more than national security.
  11. If you have the extra time on your hands then I guess. However depending on return policies for certian components such as the cpu, they might not let you take it back once it has been out of the box for however long.
  12. Fallout 3 thanks to steam summer sale

  14. I totally thought it would be great too and got it as a bundle with my new haswell i5. The driving dynamics are pretty much the same as Need For Speed which is pathetic.
