Try to see if your keyboard works in the BIOS. If so, then it is Windows 10 (which disables the PS/2 port because its "legacy"). I don't think you can flash the H310 mini to IT mode, only the normal H310. Could be wrong, though.

I definitely intend to use it. I have a 35U server cabinet, and will soon have a deticated networking closet. I already have some ideas of what to run on it, but I would like to actually utilize the RAM. It currently has Proxmox on it for VMs.

I am in the US. I got it locally at a place called 3R Technology (in south Seattle). They were doing a sale. The server was normally $699.

So I totally scored on a DL380p G8 with duel Xeon E5-2670's, 384GB ECC RAM (PC3-12800R), duel 750W PSUs, etc. I also bought 4 300GB 10K SAS drives for $12 each. I have no idea what to do with all this power. Any suggestions? I'm barely utilizing my old R710 as it is.

If you are unable to determine if a server is worth it, you do not have enough experience to be renting out servers. People need to know that if the server fails, their data will be available and that it will be up 24/7 with little to no downtime.

I'm using this old dell with a Pentium 4 and 1GB of RAM and it works fine as a file server. (but 32 bit processors make life hard) Just install CentOS and samba. Since it is running CentOS, it can be used for other stuff. It's so old, it has a PCI card that has phone line dial up connectors on it.

Steal the server's drives, connect them to an identical computer that has USB enabled with exact same specs as the server, and boot it.

You could get a Dell R610 for ~$350. That would be dual 6 core CPUs and 16GB RAM. Rack mounted servers are just another form factor. If you wanted to, you could put consumer grade hardware in a rack mounted case and use it as a normal computer (might have to drill holes for a consumer motherboard and you should not do this as it is pointless).

What is your budget for a UPS and what is the server used for? Is this for a business or personal use?
