    well to be honest its for a friend im getting the 3090 and 4950x. I just have these laying around and i wanted to make sure they would work without hindering each other.

    and even if you go for a deal you can only get the 980 ti for like 600 unless you got lucky and got evga 980ti sale which were gone almost immediately 
     
    looking for a 980ti if anyone has one there wanting to let go of

    i thought about it but i decided if i have to spend over 250 plus getting the mobo id just wait for the gtx 1080 ti to come out and buy that then move my current gpu to new comp

    Just get the 6gig version of the GTX 1060 and you'll be good to go. If it was me, I'd get the cheapest 1070 and future proof myself a bit more. Here is one I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JHQSZ40/?tag=pcpapi-20 (gtx1070)

    The display will refresh at 144Hz still, but the FreeSync function will not be available.

    i just set up triple monitors and my 970 was ok but i was dropping below 50 frames for something as simple as league max settings and i wanted to help a friend so hell be getting my gtx 970

    hes that friend that youve known for a long time hes getting into game programming now that hes done with college and his starting to notice tht his mac cant handle even the basics of what he wants to do when i found out about that so thats where all this started
