  1. Solid choice, not something i would personally get, i like my RGB lol but yeah, go ahead.
  2. What country are you in? How worn is the hardware? We kinda need more info my dude
  3. Look at MSI's offerings. Some absolutely great stuff there. Plus they just look amazing, Also, aim for a better CPU rather than GPU in a laptop.
  4. Hello! I am looking to upgrade my rig as its lagging behind now i have gotten a new monitor (a 1440p, 144hz) I have already upgraded my GPU from a GTX 1050Ti so im not looking to change me GPU again. current specs: i7 3770 GTX 1070Ti 8 GB DDR3 1600 1 x SSD 2x HDD I play a lot of CPU intensive games (KSP, DCS, etc...) and also do a lot of content creation. so, heres the questions i need a bit of help with... (1): is my GPU or CPU the main bottleneck? (2): Is my GPU enough for 1440p at 144hz? (3): What CPU upgrade is best for me? (NOTE: if i have to buy a new CPU, that means i need to buy a CPU, new MOBO, and possibly new RAM) (Also, Ryzen is not a option, im a intel fanboy lol) (4): I want to get a second SSD for some important games, is NVMe to PCIe Mini good or will i be slow? My MOBO doesnt have NVMe but has PCIe mini. Or am i better off just getting a second SATA, im looking for capacity rather than speed. thanks for the help (P.S forgot to add, im looking for a 6 core, 12 thread CPU. I like multitasking :P)
  5. yay! something i can answer well. That GPU looks to be the main bottle neck for everything, what games will she be running? If it's just the games you mentioned then it will be absolutely perfect. as for video editing software, as a film maker myself i use HitFilm Express, completely free and a good ease in to more professional software. i suggest using that $300 to buy a new monitor and have a dual setup with the Tv acting as a secondary to the new monitor
  6. Just be very careful handing the card if it's in the PC, it'll give you a shock if you arent careful
  7. In this particular circumstance, the price would be well worth it right?
  8. A cosair 550w. Should be plenty for any build right?
  9. Nah sorry, with this virus around have to remain pretty minimal on spending. Right now im deciding between the 1660 and the 980 ti. im split, what do you think? The 980 is on bid for 225 AUD and I’m leaning toward that
  10. Also I just a GTX 980 Ti for a hundred dollars cheaper still, should I get that instead?
  11. Playing a game like Kingdom Come (to be fair, probably one of the most demanding games I play) will I be able to get 1440 p 144hz medium settings?
  12. My current MSI card is dead quiet also but noise isn’t really a thing to me because of my layout. god I love MSI! Great cooling performance, noise, and OC. Not to mention looks.
  13. Have you checked online to see if anyone else if having this problem?
  14. This is technically a ITX thread so are you gonna recommend the SG13b? lol, jk. anyway, will I see a noticeable difference? My current monitor is 1440p 144hz (Curved by I don’t think that would make a difference) and in percent, how much performance will I loose?
  15. MX MASTER 3! you want battery life? 70 whole fucking days my dude. you want comfort? It’s the best in the business! software, no complaints all that for only 150 AUD. A really competitive price
  16. That is pretty sick! I might need to do that to mine as well, let me know if you get an answer. although I would want an off switch for the days when I’m tired
  17. Maybe spend the extra money you got left over on a 3rd party cooler? Water cooling a GPU is great fun and is a good day project. Plus better cooling performance than any stick cooler.
  18. Dude, my one comment is that this will probably be overkill for the games and things you want to play. At 1080p at least. i would recommend getting a 1440p monitor or maybe downgrading your GPU to a 1070 (bit old but more than enough for you.) and saving a few bucks. but otherwise, really well rounded build. Good job and happy building!
  19. Hey! i just started (for the 4th time) Kingdom Come on my computer, but now I have a shiny new monitor that’s 1440p and my MSI OC GTX 1050Ti is starting to chug a little. as much as I hate to admit it, since I love my little guy (first GPU and he performs way above his weight class) it is indeed time for an upgrade. I found a GTX 1660 MSI ITX card (gonna stick with MSI until the end of time) for just over 360 AUD. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/264529201588 this is seems like a fantastic price to basically double my gaming performance. But since it’s ITX and I have a full sized build will there be any performance drop offs? My current build: I7 3770 8 GB DDR3 GTX 1050ti so so sum it up I have two questions. 1. Will the ITX card perform the same as a regular 1660 (with adequate air flow) 2. Would it be worth selling my GTX 1050ti for 200 AUD and then only paying out of pocket 100 for it? cheers.
  20. I was actually thinking if i changed out the MOBO cpu and suh i would convert into a person NAS. My buddy did it with a old Core 2 Quad system and it turned out great. hold tight, im running heaven now
  21. Im australian, so what that is in AUD is about 180 bucks over my budget
  22. $200. Thats including CPU, new MOBO and possibly RAM. Thats why i wanted the 4790 i can probably get everything second hand for 200
  23. i know im being petty here but any chance we can stick with Intel? sorry
  24. I also have Kingdom Come, if you want to see that
