  1. Looking at PCBs of Vega cards you can see that most of the space is taken by VRMs and GPU. By puting the VRMs on the motherbord I could see AMD making a Threadripper sized APU that can actually game and is much cheaper than a CPU + GPU combo. What do you guys think, will this happen in 2018?
  2. Well apart from gamers, content creators and extremely budget oriented people this is probably the PC for everybody else.
  3. So AsRock has a new series of mini PC bare-bones system. The first is the DeskMini 110. The whole case has a volume of less then 2l. It supports desktop 1151 processors up to 65W TDP, 2x ddr4 SoDimm ram, 2 x 2.5" SSD/HDD and Pci-e 4x M.2 ssd, and M.2 wifi card. The best thing is the price, here in Europe you can buy it for under 140€. What do you guys think, I love this as very small PCs had to use laptop processors and were usually quite expensive, this solves both problems.
  4. Hey kids, want some candy?!?
  5. Yesterday 2 of my friends and I watched the entire LOTR trilogy in one sitting. We had a tv but a projector would be the best thing ever.
  6. Can you back up claims why sata would wok?
  7. So my friend is I'm buying a laptop and he could get a good deal on a Lenovo Thinkpad 700 (Not Y700). The problem start with chosing and SSD. It comes with a 1TB HDD and one free M.2 slot. No Dvd unit and no free 2.5" sata ports. By cheching the Lenovo website we found out that it can be also configurated with a Samsung PM951 NVMe Pcie 3.0 X4 ssd. This drive has TLC flash and there have been some posts on the internet featuring low write speeds and significant write performance degradation (50% worst write speeds after 2 months of use) over time. Here in eastern Europe it is not so easy to get cheap NVMe 256 gb ssd (Cheapest is the PM951, next is SM951 for 145 €). So I am wondering if it a M.2 ssd with Sata 6Gb/s interface like the MX200 or 850 evo would work if it is put inside this laptop or does it have to be the more expencive NVMe Pcie ssd.
  8. Well my gf doesn't have a ssd soo...
