  1. Hi, thanks. Yes, the system listed is my current system. I was thinking of upgrading to a 14700k + upgrading to DDR5, but not sure what kind of difference to expect. I would say overall in most games and tasks my experience is fairly good. In games for example I would mostly be hoping to get a more consistent experience of 165fps or above, I know in some games. like Call of Duty, I usually get pretty good average FPS but the lows can be distracting.
  2. Budget (including currency): $1300 CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games (R6, OW, Valorant, Call of Duty), Coding/Development (including occasional VM use), Very light video editing, and using my PC as a NAS and Server (ex. Minecraft). Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I currently game on/primarily use a 3440x1440 monitor 165Hz (and would like to get 165fps+ as often as possible), along with a secondary monitor which is 1920x1080 at 165Hz. I am looking for good potential upgrades (primarily with regard to CPU, MOBO, RAM, and possibly a CPU fan). I was thinking of upgrading to a i7 14700k, 32 GB DDR5 and a compatible motherboard. Any suggestions on what would be the most worthwhile to upgrade? Also potentially interested in having more SSD space. 3. Hi, my PC currently has a 512 GB M.2 SSD for the OS and a few games I play almost everyday. Otherwise, I have a 1 TB 7200 RPM hard drive for less frequent games (games I might play 2 times a week or less). My 1 TB Hard drive is filling up fast and want to replace it. Would getting a 5400 RPM drive be a lot slower, I only ask because finding a cheap 7200 RPM 4 TB hard drive seems difficult? 5400 RPM Hard drive: https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=15_1086_210_212&item_id=091921 7200 RPM Hard drive I was considering but has less space: https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=15_1086_210_212&item_id=132494
  4. Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card soon and was wondering what would be best for 1440p gaming at 75Hz (preferably at Ultra settings). The games I play most are Overwatch and Rainbow Six. I was considering the RTX 2060 Super, RTX 2070 Super or RTX 2080 Super. Which of these options would be able to get me the closest to 75Hz? My other PC specs are the Ryzen 5 2600 and 16 GB of RAM. Thanks.
  5. Hi, I am looking to get a Ryzen 5 2600x, 3000 MHz RAM (G Skill) and an AsRock motherboard (https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450 Pro4/index.asp#Specification), however, it does not list 3000MHz in the specs from what I can see, would this combo work? Thanks.
  6. Recently I was using my PC, when I plugged in my headset the PC turned off and when I turn it on all lights and fans start up inside however nothing is displayed on the screen. This happend recently (although not with the headset) where when the CPU was replaced it worked again for 2 weeks or so until now.
  7. Is the CPU fan supposed to run at every temperature / all the time? I also reset my BIOS awhile ago so is there a setting that could have been changed causing this?
  8. I just got my computer repaired today, and when I turn it on the CPU fan does not move, every few seconds it attempts to move a few degrees and moves back again but it does not spin. What could be the problem / solution? I also have a fan controller and was wondering if it is possible that it is controlling the CPU fan like this? CPU: AMD FX-8350 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper T2
  9. I removed all the components and there where no beeps, if my PC is less then one year old could it be possible that the CMOS battery died?
  10. No, it does not turn off at all and I have held it for more then 5 seconds and that does not work so I have to turn off the power from the power supply.
  11. This computer was used for months and suddenly this occurred, when this occurred when power was shut off and put back on it would sometimes work but every time it would happen less and less and now it seems not to work at all with this.
  12. My computer turns on and all the fans and lights work however nothing is displayed on any monitor, and when I try pressing the power button off it will not turn off. Are there any suggestions to fix this problem?
  13. I could really use a new faster phone my current one has low storage and is starting to become really slow too
  14. I currently use a Corsair gaming mouse, A cheap $10 keyboard and 30$ speakers.
  15. I currently own a GTX 960 and I feel this would be a great upgrade!
