So, to try and create a summary (and get some feedback) once again, where do we stand on these issues? I've put in what I think:
We're ignoring all but the aliasing "problems" (really? I think we could keep looking into this since that is definitely not something that everyone experiences (talking about render distance shadow problem)) We've established aliasing is more noticeable on lower ppi displays (well, duh I hope this wasn't a revelation for anyone) We've established that many games, even with high end anti-aliasing turn on - still look quite aliased (I don't think anyone can deny this - it's obvious in many videos an images) Is this really a problem, or can the game simply not look any better at the given ppi? (It is a problem - I proved that the game can look better. Why it doesn't is the focus here) Is this a problem only some people have or is it "normal" for that game? (I think I agree with you that it is actually the latter) Regardless, is there anything we can do about it? What would be required to address it? Changes by GPU makers? Game devs? Changes to DX? I'm still following this too and want to keep looking into it for curiosity's sake. What's your take on these points?

I would love to see TAA in a game like Rise of the Tomb Raider for example

Because of the extremely bad graphic quality ?

Talking about that, I tried some games on my old 1080p 20" monitor, and a lot games looks really "better" in terms of shimmering. All issues are less annoying, and I thought that I wouldn't see some of them if I did not knew. Ironically.
Only some of them though.

Yes.
PC gaming is not console gaming. Well it can be if you lower your expectations. If you want the best experience it's going to take effort and compromise. No way around it.
And I've been gaming for 35 years. Games have never looked better.

Well, I'm not sure there is an issue with that game. I'm still thinking that there is a kind of issue in some games, like Just Cause or GTAV. Just tried CoJ : Gunslinger, the aliasing is just awful in that one.
Also I'm not sure that the dots on real time reflections are normal. I mean, It's okay on Lara, but when the flare is reflecting on a water puddle for example, I got some kind of dotted reflections, which is nothing but disturbing.
And you're right, FXAA excepted, the antialiasing is terrible
But overall, yeah, when I stop looking for issues, there is nothing that really takes me out of the game.
Maybe coming from a 1080p 20" monitor to a 1440p 32" one changes a lot the aliasing problem ?

Maybe because they really can't see the shimmering and aliasing. Display issue. The only thing I could actually show was the effed up LOD (and shadows). I might record footages of few games to show why it's not normal to have everything not in 5 meters perimeter popping right on your face. Got plenty of games, old and new, that might do.

Like I said, seeing the term "VGA" just reminded be it was time for another warning, since like I said, one person't problems were already found to be a result of that. I wasn't directing this at anyone

Yep, it seems like this form is going to end up like all the others with people giving up and declaring that since they can't figure it out that this must be normal = BULLSHIT. I, as well as MANY others, know for a fact that this isn't normal especially when I see in real time with my own eyes that this is not occurring on my friend's rig with the exact same hardware and settings. I am returning all my pc components to micro center today. I'm tired of looking at my pc just sitting there with no desire to use it. I hope to build and play again in the future when this problem hopefully gets figured out. This is insane. Don't give in to denial simply because we don't understand what's happening.
