I helping my daughter look for a new laptop. She is not a gamer or high end user. Her price range is 750 USD and could spend a little more maybe. She will be using it for school and mostly using MS suite, movies and email. Wants: *Lightweight *Long battery life *Touch screen *Large screen size *Decent storage Any deals or help is appreciated

Ram can be tricky. Speed of the the ram is not necessary going to make a big difference versus capacity. Mismatched RAM can somethings not work together. The RAM speed will only match the lowest speed RAM in the system. However if you just need more RAM capacity. I would not worry about OC'n it. Just pug another stick in. It depends on what you are using it for, but for gaming and streaming speed really is minor.

What games are the best to pick up while on sale? I I'm looking for new ideas. Always thanks.

My power supply is 9 yr old (7 years of use) Cooler master 750w. I have contacted Cooler Master, ASUS my motherboard, and EVGA my videocard. They have all said there is "fail safes in place" Do I need to worry?

yep I have disconnect every component except for RAM, CPU, no luck

5 year computer, I cleared it by removing the battery for 30sec+. What is the shelf life on the battery? It seems like they last a very long time.

I am trying to help a friend fix his computer. He believed is mech HD died. I booted it and I can't get to the BIOS. When I boot it only shows a "HP" logo and will not continue to any kinda of boot state. I have tried, del, f11, f2, f12, and every combo. I just cant get to BIOS. I re-seated RAM. I have remove and reinstalled the battery.I have tested another power supply. I have the windows boot CD in the optical drive. However every time I boot it goes to a "HP" screen shot and will not continue and there is no option for BIOS. Any help would be greatly welcome. Thanks

yeah I always consider the monitor as a investment. It can last you multiple gens of upgrades.
