  1. @djdwosk97 I ran Memtest, it took 5 and a half hours so I let it run overnight, and it came up with 60 errors during pass 3 in tests 6,7, and 9.
  2. I always thought the E sku CPU's weren't overclockable. But anyway I'll run memtest and I'll report what happens.
  3. No, my CPU isn't overclockable since it's a 8320E, not an 8320, and I'll try running memtest soon.
  4. It's a different error every time. Some of the ones I've gotten are: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL / NO_EXCEPTION_HANDLING_SUPPORT / BAD_POOL_HEADER / KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, and many more.
  5. I have ran Heaven, and there were no problems. I have my GPU overclocked but I tried reverting it to stock speeds and it didn't make a difference.
  6. I've been having this problem with windows 10 for a while and I haven't been able to find a fix for it. I get at least two blue-screens a day and every time it's a different error. I've got all the most current drivers and even tried rolling back a few but the blue-screens keep coming. It happens at very random times too. Sometimes it'll happen while gaming, while watching youtube, even when idling at the desktop, I'll still get these random blue-screens and I can't figure out why. I even reinstalled windows a while ago but it keeps happening. Here are my system specs copied off pcpp: CPU AMD FX-8320E 3.2GHz 8-Core Processor $127.00 $8.32 $135.32 ($16.33 more than SuperBiiz) Buy CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler $26.50 $9.31 $35.81 ($10.93 more than OutletPC) Buy Motherboard Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P ATX AM3+ Motherboard $81.91 $9.82 $91.73 ($12.85 more than OutletPC) Buy Memory Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory $40.69 $8.13 $48.82 ($8.13 more than Newegg) Buy Storage Sandisk SSD PLUS 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $68.95 $8.07 $77.02 ($7.03 more than B&H) Buy Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $49.99 $8.65 $58.64 ($11.31 more than OutletPC) Buy Video Card XFX Radeon R9 380X 4GB DD XXX OC Video Card Case Fractal Design Core 2300 ATX Mid Tower Case $68.67 FREE $68.67 ($28.68 more than SuperBiiz) Buy Power Supply Thermaltake TR2 500W ATX Power Supply $44.90 $10.56 $55.46 ($25.47 more than Newegg) Buy Optical Drive Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer $21.55 $8.77 $30.32 ($11.44 more than OutletPC) Buy Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit $92.19 $92.19 ($3.31 more than OutletPC) Buy Case Fan Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition (2-Pack) 62.7 CFM 120mm Fans $24.99 $8.61 $33.60 ($8.61 more than Newegg) Buy Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. My peripherals are pretty basic; a generic membrane keyboard that's been in use for a few years and the keys are slowly getting wobblier, a $10 sharkk gaming mouse I bought off amazon, no mouse pad (the one I had was way too small), and a pair of sennheiser HD429s which are actually the only part of my peripherals that I'm proud of.
  8. I'd say they are. Alot of that price goes into the build quality since these things are built like a tank. The cable is braided, the frame is made of steal and the ear cups have aluminum panels on them. You can also get customized panels from v-moda, although they're a little pricey. They also have a little more bass than the m50x but the m50x a little better overall sound quality since they are supposed to be studio headphones.
  9. Get the V-moda m-100. They're both bassy and also have a good amount of clarity.
  10. So as of currently, there is no way to run DX11 games on Linux? Yes, i was thinking about using a VM as backup if i can't get Wine to work.
  11. Do you know of a way around that cheat protection? Because I'd really hate to not be able to play Overwatch.
  12. Currently I'm running Windows 10 on my main system and Linux Mint 18 on my laptop. After using Linux for a while I've been really enjoying it and what it has to offer over Windows. For a while Windows has been very unstable and annoying constantly blue-screening and crashing, so I've been thinking about using Mint 18 on my main system instead. I know about the driver issues and compatibility issues that could arise on Linux but I think I should be fine with it, but my only issue is running some of my non-Linux compatible steam games on Linux. I've heard of a program called Wine to run windows applications on Linux, without emulation, and it seems very promising to use. If there is anyone who has experience with Wine, please tell me how it is. Are there any performance issues? Compatibility? Drivers? I just want to know that if I switch to Linux, I'll be able to run my non-Linux compatible games that I've already bought on steam. Any replies are much appreciated.
  13. You could probably find some of the old radeon HD 7000 series gpus for dirt cheap.
  14. The HyperX Cloud Revolvers seem like a good choice. I haven't personally use them but reviews seem to be very positive.
  15. Wait for the RX 480 that comes out in 6 days. It's cheaper than both those cards and should perform way better.
  16. My 380x runs space engineers like a dream so you shouldn't have issues with the 480.
  17. DLC almost never goes on sale. Look at the Call of Duty DLC's.
  18. I've been having some trouble lately using steam in-home streaming. I'm trying to stream from my Windows 10 PC to a Linux based PC but it just refuses to work and I've tried every fix I could find. I was wondering if anyone knows of some kind of alternative I could use instead. It doesn't have to be a specific game streaming software, it could be something similar to team viewer (although I'm not going to use team viewer). My Windows PC's specs are in my profile and the Linux machine is running an Athlon 2 x2 215, 4GB of ram, and an nVidia GT730.
  19. The 460 Isn't designed to be a VR capable card. It's marketed toward budget and MOBA players. The 470 is supposed to be a 1080p powerhouse and the 480 is the one marketed toward VR users. The msrp is speculated to be about $100, $150, and $200 respectively.
  20. It comes with a cooler, not a very good one, but it should be fine since you're not OCing.
  21. Hold up. You need ALL the DLC to get the remastered for free?
  22. I come back hours later to see the chaos I have started. It doesn't look good for either the AMD or nVidia fanboys. In all seriousness though, I'll probably just wait for Polaris and skip the 295X2, as much as a badass, power-hungry, bohemoth it is. But the performance of the RX 480 looks very promising and if for some reason it doesn't meet my needs, I could get a second one down the road. Thanks to all for the input.
  23. I don't have anything against nVidia but I've been refraining from buying their cards lately. I used to have a 750ti that I ordered twice and the first one was DOA so i had it replaced and the second one had so many driver issues it was unplayable sometimes. I'd consider buying a 970 though if I could find one at a good price.
  24. The 8320 probably isn't going to be replaced any time soon and I'm guessing it'd bottleneck the 295X2?
