  1. Hey guys, Helping a mate build a PC in a few days and want to use his HDD from his previous PC in the build. The thing is that the HDD already has windows installed on it from the last build, since the PC is broken I can't wipe it. Pretty sure it wont work without me re-installing windows on it as he has changed the mobo and GPU (correct me if I am wrong). My question is can I re-install windows on a drive that is already full or do I need to wipe it first, and if I do need to wipe it, what is the best way to do this. Cheers, Speshul_
  2. Ah my bad, though prices were in Aussie Dollars haha Still no need for the noctua CPU cooler
  3. Always a bit wary of kickstarter projects these days haha Hopefully all goes well
  4. I would get a cheaper CPU cooler and spend more on your PSU. Last thing you want with all your expensive components is for them to be fried
  5. Install a custom rom such as cyangoen mod. Worked a treat for me on my Galaxy S4, I used lineage OS and am now running android 7.1.2 Follow this video: Hope this helps
  6. Damn that sucks, maybe try one stick at a time in case it is just one of them.
  7. Try different RAM, otherwise it is probably your motherboard. Basically it is likely either the RAM it self or the RAM controller on the motherboard.
  8. Also consider getting a larger HDD, shouldn't be too expensive and 500 GB is quite small after you install a few games.
  9. I would get a bigger PSU, in case of future upgrades.
  10. I see no reason why your resolution would effect your CPU performance for gaming, you will just need a better GPU. If you have a decent cooler and compatible motherboard, you should certainly go for an overclock, it is an unlocked chip (k).
  11. Just make sure it is DDR4 and desktop size (288 pin)
  12. Your RAM is certainly compatible with your motherboard but it might not be functioning correctly. Do you have any other ram lying around you can use to test is that is the issue?
  13. Yeah overclocking on laptops is not something I would recommend. Laptops are usually engineered to use the minimal amount of fans to keep the components at a safe operating temperature, so if you overclock and it gets a bit hotter you could certainly run into some issues with thermal throttling and you could damage your components. Also this would likely void your warranty.
  14. Closed back are essentially used when you want to block out the noise around you.
