So I currently have a Logitech g915. It's great and all but I Wana get something that I can more easily customize. I am completely new to the world of custom keyboards. All I have had are retail mechanical boards. I was looking at the gmmk pro barebones. I can get it for $120 now off Amazon. Is this a good place to start? The only things that I really want are TKL or full size, volume knob, and some sort of lighting. Does not have to be RGB. Media controls would be nice but not necessary.

Issue was still happening even on windows 10 with Tpm disabled. Updated BIOS before fresh install to 11

So for about a month now, whenever I'm playing games and chatting in discord, my PC would freeze up for like 5 seconds and then come back. It happens completely randomly. I decided to re-image my machine. Did a fresh install of windows 11, updated GPU and CPU bios. Issue still happening. Thought that icue was causing it. Uninstalled it, still happening. Now some times while just in game, my PC would hard lock causing a force reboot. Uninstalled discord, still happening. Now I have both programs re-installed. I have verirfed that everything is up to date. The other day, I decided to run some stress tests. I ran 3d mark time spy. No wallpaper engine, passes. Wallpaper engine on, fails multiple times. Popped the card in a different slot, same issues. Had my friend who has the same GPU being his over, no issues. Popped mine back in, ran furmark and time spy, no crashes with wallpaper engine running. Just chatting in discord last night, stuttering happens again, no game running. I'm completely stuck at this point. Event viewer doesn't say anything. Temps don't go about 67 celcius on GPU. Sometimes I even lose all audio and have to reboot my machine to get it back. I just at this point want a definitive answer on what the issue is. I also ran crystal disk mark and Samsung magician and both said all my drives are good.

So I currently have 2 Plex servers. One that is soon to be taken down that's running on my personal machine and another run running on my Synology Nas. They both have the same exact content on them as I just copied the data over from one to another. For some reason tho, they show different things. For example, the PC Plex shows one of my shows no issues where as the Nas Plex won't show it properly. Another thing is that the Nas Plex has more shows then the PC Plex. That's not at important as I won't be using the PC Plex much longer but overall, it don't make sense. I usually use filebot to rename the files to there proper names for Plex to understand. Is there something that I am doing wrong? Also Plex dosent always input all shows into it. Is there a way to manually add shows? Thanks

So im looking into getting a new NAS and ive decided between the Synology ds920+ and the Asustor as5304t. Both are 4 bay Nas. Similar specs. The Asustor does have dual 2.5gb ports. I've never used either brand nor have I even heard of Asustor. I'm going to be using 2 16tb WD gold drives at first. The NAS will be used for Plex, file backup for my home and maybe eventually a VM or 2. The price difference between the 2 items is $100.

So I finally decided to get my self a 3d printer and I have plenty of things that I wana print but i was wondering, is there like a website that I can go to that has plenty of models that I can just download or is it more of a google the item and click on a website?

So im looking into upgrading my RAM. I'm debating between 2 16gb sticks or 4 8gb sticks. I like the look of having all the sticks slots filled but all the 4x8 kits that I am seeing have high timings. Is there a difference between dual and quad channel memory in terms of preformance?

Hello, Really quick and probably stupid question. I'm going to be running a few vm's. One with Windows 10, another with Windows 11 and a few running different forms of Linux. It's been a while since I got iso files. My question is, can I just download the iso files into one of my drives and install the operating systems that way or do I need to put the iso's one at a time onto a flash drive?

So my pc currently is housed in a Lian Li O11 dynamic XL. My cooling configuration consists of 2 140mm fans on the bottom as intakes, 3 120mm fans on the rad which are also intakes and 3 120mm fans on the top as exhaust. I have been thinking of swapping out the 2 140mm fans on the bottom and putting 3 120mm fans there instead. The reason would be to make it look more filled out. I am also probably gonna put another 120mm fan on the rear as a exhaust. Would the 2 140mm fans be better then 3 120mm or vice versa?

Anyone happen to either be selling or show me where I can purchase a physical copy of deadman wonderland vol 3? I cannot find it anywhere. The only places i found it was either as the Japanese versions or having them shipped from germany.

So I have a cable modem provided by optimum. It's probably like 2 months old. Yesterday, it started randomly rebooting and taking forever to come back online. Didn't think really anything of it. Today, all morning everything is all good and all the sudden it happens again for no reason. The weird thing is that when it just happened, one of my TV's which is using Plex and connected to a WiFi extender didn't lose connection at all. I work from home so I cannot have these internet problems. Besides optimum being a horrible company any ideas on how to fix these issues? I have had the coax cables replaced about a month ago as well. Also the internet cuts out and then about a minute later, the router then reboots. Thanks

So I use plex for my media. I currently run it off of my main rig with a 8tb hdd for storage. I am able to watch 4k hdr footage on my smart tv generally. I do plan on eventually moving the plex server to its own dedicated machine but that is down the line. My question is with plex pass it says "Use the dedicated video decoder and encoder hardware support in your computer/device to convert videos and stream HD or 4K video more smoothly to more devices at once." Does that mean that when i use plex atm, it isnt using hardware decoding and encoding? If i get plex pass, would my streams be any better or allow me to more easily watch multiple streams at once? the 6500 supports ddr4 not ddr3. the 6th gen CPU's were the first consumer models from intel to support this.

yea im getting the air as i dont see my self really ever maxing the CPU out. Im sure chrome will not help the battery as much as safari would but as long as I can get thru a entire day without needing to worry about battery life, then im all good.

how do you enjoy the machine? I have a surface laptop 3 now but the battery life is terrible and its slow. Im not looking for something as fast as my desktop but I dont wana be sitting there waiting forever for a new chrome window to open

So i think im going to be buying my self a new macbook air m1 since my current laptop just aint cutting it. Microcenter has the base model which is the m1 CPU 8gb of RAM and 256gb of storage for $849.99. They also have a 16gb varient of the same machine for $1049.99. I am going to be using this machine for school work, web surfing, coding (mostly for school atm and its python), using the office suite and some occasional adobe program use (photoshop, illustrator, InDesign). Anything more heavy would be done on my desktop. Obviously no gaming. I already have a external SSD as why im going with 256gb instead of 512gb. My main question is it worth the extra money for 16gb of RAM? I do plan on having this machine for at least the next 5 years as that's as long as i expect a machine of this caliber to last. (Thought my old machine would last that long but its not even a year old and having issues). Thanks

usually the clearance issue comes into play when using a tower cooler since the heatsink physically goes over the ram slots in some cases. Using a all in one wouldn't cause these issues

I get it all the time as well when I'm answering. People give a very vague description of what parts they have. I believe the power supply in his unit is a powerspec 650w 80+ gold. It is microcenters in house brand of power supplys. I have built a few systems with them in it and they work really well for the price.

So my friend is upgrading his GPU to a 3070. He has a 650w psu in there now with a 3900x. Neither the cpu nor GPU will be overclocked. Do you think that 650w is enough or does he need to get a new psu? Thanks

So i just upgraded my system to a 5900x. I have noticed that my temps are relatively high when just surfing the web and basic stuff like that. temps are generally between 45 to 55 degrees celcius. The cpu is being cooled by a 360mm all in one. CPU is just auto overclocked via the motherboard.

basically the cpu of choice has x amount of pcie lanes. nvme drives use usually 4 of those lanes. Using those lanes can disable some of the sata ports as there isnt enough lanes for everything. You will be using a sata based m.2 so you dont have to worry as they use less lanes then a pcie based drive. Hope this helps a bit.

So asus just released there new bios which fixes the USB issues on x570 boards. I am having these USB issues. Now according to the website, the bios is in beta. Should I wait until it comes out of beta in x amount of time or just download it now and hope that i dont have any issues?

if xmp wont work just manually set the RAM to 3200mhz. there should be a option somewhere in the bios to do that. Usually its listed with cpu overclocking

it depends. When i replace laptop battery's some brands ship them with 0% and others ship them with 20%. They geneally wont turn on tho until power is plugged in for the first time. As for worrying if your gut says what you did is correct then your right. Dont second guess your self
