  1. I tried and it's very noticeable if you scroll fast, not a deal breaker for me Yeah I totally agree and games on the s8 don't even run at 120 fps and for regular use it's not so big of a difference. I have a 155hz monitor and see no difference in regular use to the other 60hz. I barely take notes on paper so not an issue for me. I suck at handwriting and I hate it so not a problem. Screen size is a plus and a minus. As far as space I think I should be fine then. Do you suggest the mini over the s8 then?
  2. all the UI is a scaled down version of the bigger one so the icons and text are too small. Not expected from Apple honestly but they could fix it
  3. I downloaded the apk in a last minute save lol I know apps on android are inferior on a tablet but the mini as well isn't that well optimized and samsung dex is nice. What do you think?
  4. The 64 GBs really put me off plus IpadOS for the mini isn't that well optimized. I don't plan to do any serious work since I have a desktop and laptop, even tho my laptop isn't that portable so if I can bring a tablet sometimes instead of that it woud be helpful
  5. Hello, I'd like to get a tablet, I don't really need it, but I'd like to get one. I already have gaming desktop pc, 6 years old not very portable 15.6" gaming laptop (which I still use for work when I'm not home) and a "small" phone pixel 3a and I'm getting a galaxy s22 soon. As you can see I'm not in the apple ecosystem. I'd like to get a tablet to use around the house, in bed (my laptop gets too hot) and for when I travel or for when I don't need a full pc when I'm around. My main use would be: youtube, netflix, movies, web browsing, social medias and discord, reading e-books and why not some gaming. IPAD MINI PROS: very portable I'd easily carry it everywhere, perfect size for reading, better app optimization than on android, longer support (I guess at least 6 years), cheaper, brighter display for use outside of home, minor but it has better games or better optimized games than android (afaik), center stage (not that important really) CONS: only 64GB (is it enough?), smaller display for media consumption and general use, Ipad OS isn't that well optimized on the Mini in terms of UI sizing, extra money if I want the pen, jelly scrolling, no vanced youtube (goated app I love it) GALAXY TAB S8 PROS: Bigger storage and basically unlimited storage for movies on the sd if I travel, bigger (and good) display is better to watch movies and general use overall, 120Hz refresh rate, you get a pen and a keyboard (but no trackpad, idk how it is to use a tablet with keyboard but no trackpad), you get another tablet that I hope I could sell for 150€ at least, so total cost could go to 480€ but I'd probably get the 45W charger for 45€ so 525€ total (same as Ipad mini), samsung dex can make it more similar to a pc use, better multitasking, better internal camera placement (not that important really), youtube vanced, I have an android phone and I will have a galaxy s22 soon. CONS: Less portable, probably too big for reading and especially out of home like at the beach (what do you think, is it too big?), less bright screen for outside use, worse app optimization (like discord is terrible afaik), less years of support (4 vs the many of the ipad), worse selection of games and less optimized games (none of the famous games runs at 120fps). Considering these things and what products I already own, what would you pick and why? Thanks
  6. Hello, as the title says I'm looking for IEMs under 100€ to only use with my phone and maybe sometime my laptop. I don't use a dac, just straight from the 3.5mm jack of my pixel 3a. I stream music from Tidal HiFi, I need these only when I'm going around outside (for the future since I'm stuck in quarantine) and I need a portable solution. I already have a pair of AKG K712 pro with a JDS Atom to use at home and a pair of Sennheiser Momentum to use like when travelling. Wired or wireless is the same, but I'm 99% sure I'll get a better value from wires. Since I mainly use them with my phone I need a mic since it's way more convenient for calls. IEMs + a replacement cable with a mic are accepted as well, as long as the total is still under 100€ Thank you!
  7. Edit: added LOXJIE D10 at 100€ from Amazon, found the Magni 3+ at 146€ from schiit UK instead of 178€ from schiit USA
  8. Thanks for the explanation! It seems like my best option after all, isn't it?
  9. https://blog.jdslabs.com/2019/11/jds-labs-element-ii-official-release-benchmarks/ This is the best thing that I've found but I really don't understand a lot of the performance comparison. The Dac between the two, the usb controller it's different and the amp is more powerful on the 2. Other than that I'm too noob to understand
  10. Yeah I think the Element 1 is starting to be my best option. Do you know how much worse it is compared to the element 2? I couldn't find many comparisons Thanks
  11. Edit 2: Added Creative Sound BlasterX G6 at 160€, I could get a discount on the Beresford Caiman SEG, added a 10€ cheaper Topping D10 option but w/ longer shipping
  12. Edit to my list: Added xDuoo TA-01B and JDS Labs Element 1, clarified that the Topping DX3 pro is v2
  13. We are in quarantine so I can't go out to ask and I don't know any shops. The only website I visit in italian are newspapers lol, all my internet is in english I'll if something in italian exists Btw I made a list with all the prices so people that don't know pricing in Italy could help me as well
  14. I'd like to have optical in if in a future I'll get a console (I play only on pc rn) but I'm not spending way more just for that, if it's a small price different I'd go with the optical option. The problem with Drop is that you have to wait for the drop shipping for some items (usually like a month after the end of the drop) and then 3-6 weeks to ship to europe. It's way too much time! The objective 2 amp is in stock only with medium gain, standard gain is out of stock so is a no. Grace sdac ships June 12 so nope. So what you suggest is a topping D10 + jds Atom= 109 + 123 (or 172) + 20 = 252€ if lucky or 301€ if unlucky, but the most probable outcome (customs)
  15. Hello, I just ordered my first pair of real headphones and now I need a Dac and Amp or a dac/amp combo for them. I currently have a bad 25€ amp/dac from amazon for my Sennheiser Momentum. Ideally my budget would be 200€, I spent 160€ for the headphones, I don't really want to spend way more for the dac and amp. If it's really really worth it I could go up to something like 260€, but not really above that. Thank you for your help! Ok so these days I carefully made a list with all the amps, dacs amp/dacs that I was suggested, with their price and shipping time. It took me a while I hope you can help me having all my options in front of you. Thank you a lot! 17. Help me decide which one to get please! I'm going to buy a Fiio K5 pro as well so if you have any other suggestion for dac and amp feel free to help me. This are going to be for desktop use with my pc, I mainly play videogames (fps), listen to music, mostly from spotify at 320kbps but I have some flac albums and to watch movies, almost all with lossless audio. I'm coming from a pair of sennheiser momentum with a shit (not schiit unfortunately) dac. The philips are 165€ and the 58x are 145€ from massdrop with shipping to europe. Feel free to add any other suggestion. My budget is 200€ but if it's really worth it I could go up to 350€, but it has to be a big upgrade. Thanks
  18. TP link Archer C6. I don't loose connection on my phone though which is connected via wifi
  19. I got one and I LOVE IT. I have an i7 8700k delidded at 5.1Ghz all cores (-2 avx) at 1.408 v and when gaming and streaming (Nvenc) i'm around 67 C average with not bothering at all noise (of course it's not dead silent since I have 9 fans total in my pc.)
  20. It's like the third or fourth time in a week that it happens. I'm in a long gaming session (playing cod) and late in the night my pc disconnects from the internet. I'm connected via ethernet and my phone internet with the Wifi still works so it's a pc problem. All the times it happened I was gaming and streaming. To get it back online I just restart it and it's all fixed. While gaming and streaming my CPU is at 65-73 C and my GPU 65C -Mobo: msi z370 gaming pro carbon -cpu: intel i7 8700k @ 5.1Ghz Gpu: rtx 2080 Do you know how to fix this problem? Thanks
  21. Macrium reflect. We live in 2019 and you do your backup manually....
  22. Ok but with what program? That's my question
  23. Well, I know it. That's exaclty why I asked which is the best way to do a back up as you'd do with time machine
