  1. The projector looks brilliant would be nice to have for sure aha I have been looking into a projector to put into my basement for media and gaming the especially short throw of this particular projector will indeed be handy for my smaller space. It would also be sick for gaming sessions on the go at friends houses and gaming parties thanks to its compact size and solid looking construction.
  2. Just to add another point I may have not made clear my games run perfect on these cards i'm not saying they didn't take any damage from my tinkering but their performance had been on point besides for these issues which I just want more info on ultimately I can live with them if I must also I my temps have not appeared too high when these black screen occur but I haven't ruled out overheating entirely. I have seen threads with this display driver error before but their issues didn't seem to match mine also fyi i'm running Win 10.
  3. Alright I can try that the current OC is fairly modest as I didn't want to push them much after that but I will try running them completely stock to see if that changes anything thank you for the input
  4. I have been having an issue with my two GTX 970's which I run in SLI ever since I accidentally overclocked them waaay too high by that I mean the sliders were set as high as they could go and saved I wont go into too many detail as I would like to get to the point but know that it was not entirely my fault. I nearly had a heart attack my PC would crash while trying to load the desktop and somehow through all this my display driver became completely corrupt and without a display driver I cant dial back the overclock so while my cards were having a meltdown I was installing display drivers once installed I dialed the overclock back to stock and since have applied an extremely modest overclock yet since that day I have had a few odd issues 1. I occasionally get this error while entering or exiting full screen applications such as going into full screen mode on YouTube or extending a window to fill the screen "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 258.96 stopped responding and has successfully recovered." The screen only turns black for a split second and everything continues as normal like the error never happened 2. After playing games after a fair deal of time maybe 4 or more hours I sometimes yet once again not consistently have an issue where my screen will go black but this time stay that way, my two displays will receive no signal but the computer continues to run I often listen to music or watch YouTube on my secondary display while I play and the audio from those still play but no audio from the game I was just playing so i'm not sure if the game itself is suspended or had crashed at the same moment the screen went black or what regardless once it does this I cannot get the picture back whether I unplug the display cable or what have you. I must hard restart the computer (using the power button). So that's jist of it sorry if its a bit much to read I appreciate any help the community can offer and will try to provide more details if necessary.
  5. The room itself has good airflow and is usually cool (i'm in a basement) but no I normally have a side panel on I took it off for the sake of the photo the side panel on the 760T is almost entirely acrylic so I it would probably crack if I cut it besides that would not look very pretty I mean that may look ok on a case without a window but a fan screwed into a acrylic window I don't know if that is necessary. Thanks for your input though
  6. Yeah I will definitely need a new fan for the bottom there thanks for the input that does seem like a better idea than using it as an exhaust any thoughts on which fan to use? Then if i'm going to add to the top ill probably go with two in the slots closer to the rear.
  7. I am running two GTX 970's in SLI and a AMD FX-8350 CPU inside a Corsair 760T case which allows for 2 120mm or 140mm fans in the front, a single 120mm or 140mm fan out the back, 3 120mm fan on the top, and a single 120mm fan on the bottom. My question is how many fans and which should be push vs. pull. My current setup is with two 140mm's pulling in the front with an all in one liquid cooler on the CPU dispersing heat to a 120mm radiator out the back with two fan set to push out the back. I am not pleased with the temperatures as they stand with my current fans (all 1000rpm) set to 100% off my fan controller I am seeing 55 Celsius on GPU #1 and 45 Celsius on GPU #2 on idle not overclocked. Not sure what my temps on the GPU's are under load but I can tell you they got upwards of 80 and 90ish and my computer crashes periodically after maybe 2 - 3 hours pushing the cards hard while gaming with extremely high settings and I believe it may be from the heat unless there is another issue I need to trouble shoot. I am not worried about my CPU temp has it is a powerful CPU that doesn't get pushed too hard playing games and keeps very low temps. But I need to get the temps on these cards down if anyone can recommend a better layout with more fans or perhaps better fans if you have any good recommendations on fans. Personally I would like to keep the ones I am currently running for the aesthetics because they are Green LED fans but I am more concerned with cooling and noise level than aesthetics so i'm up for suggestions and your help is greatly appreciated. Also nevermind the fan currently at the bottom I do not use it at the moment as I found it waaay too loud just a cheap fan that I had laying around from god knows where. If I were to put a fan down there it would have to be better than that one.
  8. Didn't want to bother with the screenshot and I don't really have a name for my PC but... here are my findings. CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz *8 Core processor overclocked to 4.5GHz GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB Strix card RAM: 16 GBs of G. Skill Sniper Series (x2 8GB sticks and up-gradable to have x4 8GB sticks for 32) Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX I suppose my other specs are not so important besides the fact my main drive is an SSD I sit just a little below the mid point of the capable section, obviously my CPU is overkill for any gaming lol and its not like the OS is a big deal but I run Win 10. My PC is mainly a gaming rig but I run a Plex server on it so I wanted a beefy CPU for transcoding. I need a better graphics card for VR as it would seem which should be an easy fix by adding a second GTX 970 which I plan to do anyways as I would like to upgrade my monitor to a ultra widescreen (Linus convinced me) lol I plan on getting the monitor first which my GPU should be able to power well enough although it will likely struggle to reach 60FPS on high settings so ill add a second one to boost me into the 2K max settings bracket which is where I want to be which will also give me enough juice for VR but honestly i'm not looking into VR anytime soon like it would be nice to have a PC capable of it the price is too high and there is nothing to entice me as of yet just low budget indie stuff and unsupported mods to make games "work" in VR. ill wait for some really killer VR content and a more reasonable price point.
  9. The Roccat Kova looks sick I would love to have my hands on one of those I would like it because I am in the process of turning my first PC build which I built as a media server into a gaming machine by adding a GPU and would love to have a nicer 'gamer' mouse to replace my current $10 one.
