  1. So I've decided to go for an XPS 13 with the new i7 in it, mostly for Uni so note taking, MATLAB and some CAD PCB Layout tools (Also like shitloads of netflix). However I wanted to ask if the extra £100 for the better display was worth the extra cash as well as the decrease in battery life which comes with it. If anyone has any experience with one or both displays I'd like to hear it. Thanks!
  2. I'm both entertained and mildly aroused, EXCELLENT!
  3. Oh definitely, I'm just looking for a bit of future proofing, I don't plan of upgrading for at least the next 4-5 years.
  4. So with the new slew of graphics cards I've decided its time for an upgrade from by 7950 3GB to something a hair more powerful. The real question for me is to grab a 980Ti for ~£400 or do I wait for the new AMD cards priced at around the same price point. I do all of my gaming at 1080p on a single monitor although I do use two monitors for work. So really I asking for speculations of performance if anyone has more of an idea about it than I do. Thanks in advance
  5. With you on that, unless they say anything about the 490 or an X version
  6. I meant more in terms of age and service history.
  7. They probably need an electrician to wire it in.
  8. I'm not sure on where you live but what is your power like in general?
  9. Can confirm, lenovos have the stupidest bloody ways to get into the bios.
  10. I've been having a rather strange issue with the ctrl keys on my laptop. They work once it boots up and for a short time after but then they both stop to work, I wondering if anyone know of a program or a service which could be disabling them?
  11. Do you have any kind of portfolio built up?
  12. Possibly but then you'd only be comparing a few results.
  13. Definitely trying to plug in the bloody 8pin mobo power. RIP my thumbs.
