  1. which is better for gaming 6700k or 5960x? i understand that 5960x has allot of cores which makes it harder for games to utilize it, but I also understand that it is more expensive so I want to know with how expensive it is can it handle gaming well even better than 6700k as well as it being a video editing beast? Bec. What I want is good for gaming if the 5960x is good at video editing as well as better for gaming than the 6700k but if the 6700k is better for gaming hands down then forget it.
  2. The gpu and cpu have two different purposes you cannot make them do each other's task, you cannot use the gpu to boost the performance of the cpu.
  3. If I am going to sli to 980ti's (considering the airflow condition(the heat output of the cards)) will I have to use water cooling or a workable airlflow config will work?
  4. What you should worry about is having good airflow inside your case bec. What your gpu does is kick hot air into your case atmosphere and heat sinks of processors and the likes, so make sure your airflow correctly constructed inside your case so heat is. 5. if i have 2 fans blowing positive airflow at the bottom lower of my case, and 1 fan at the top rear part of my case for negative airflow, then would it be ideal to have 2 blower style video cards (980 ti's) (acting as negative exhausts) and have the water cooling fans together with radiator (for processor) at the top of the case (under the the deck of the case) blowing positive airflow to the interior of the case (and negative to the radiator)?
  6. Your pc shutting down could be the cause of the power supply not being able to distribute enough power to your components thus shutting down randomly, make sure the numbers of watts that you power supply supports is enough for your upgrades.
  7. Will not having a front lower ventilation area in your case ( for intake fans) be a problem or is a lower front ventilation area ( vent) not necessary for intake fans to produce positive air pressure?
  8. What is a superclocked gpu? If I have the 980 ti from zotac with exact same specs of core clock and boost clock mentioned on nvidia website, is a superclocked version with higher core clock and boost actually better ( lightning edition from Msi or gigabyte) or is it a merely factory overclocked with modified cooling solution?
  9. Do cases automatically come with fans for its ventilation and/or you have to buy fans separately for its ventilation ?
  10. Is it okay to get a little higher UPS rating than what was recommended to you or is it essential to get the exact amount.
  11. Will having more numbers of watts in a power supply than you pc consumes or more than you need result to your hardware getting damaged overtime?
  12. http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator# Under memory (FB-DIMM)
  13. If I am going to use my cpu for gaming then under the cpu utilization settings at what percent of tdp should I set it at in the power supply compability? Ex. 90% tdp 100% tdp 95% tdp
  14. I'm planning to build a pc and my ram choice is 2x 16gb ddr4 from corsair running at 3000 mhz does this have fb -dimm? http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3000MHz-PC4-24000-Memory/dp/B0134EW7G8/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1453252428&sr=1-1&keywords=ddr4
  15. Should I sli 2 980 ti's or crossfire 2 r9 390x tri-x's?
  16. You may want want to get less demanding cpu's like the value processors on Intel website in their prossecor category, and just use the built in gpu's from a motherboard and you need no more 4g ddr2 ram for office pc's, an i5 is overkill for a pc for office use. http://www.intel.ph/content/www/ph/en/processors/pentium/pentium-processor.html (Under desktop product specification)
  17. Another solid selection is the nitro r9 390x 8gd5 with kickass architecture (430 $) http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0196LP8M8/ref=sr_1_4_olp?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1453207497&sr=1-4&keywords=R9+390x&condition=new
  18. The gtx 980 is a solid selection, cards that may more have memory for a lesser price may not be as good as this for its gpu architecture. (546 $) http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00NI5DA2E/ref=sr_1_4_olp?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1453206856&sr=1-4&keywords=980&condition=new
  19. The r9 390x is a pretty kickass card itself, but dont judge them both based on specs alone, take into consideration the architecture of the gpu, the architecture of the 980ti is slightly more advanced than the r9 390x, btw be careful don't base your desicion on a single benchmark alone
  20. Which is a better gpu, r9 390x tri-x(8gd5) or r9 290x tri-x (4gd5)?
  21. In what way does crossfire increase performance when using 2 gpu's?
  22. The problems with your machine not booting up may vary, certain wires which may not have been placed properly which have to do with booting you pc and many more factors. Also you might want to check if your power supply might be defective, by properly placing your power supply into another pc which clearly works or have brought to a professional troubleshooter.
  23. It's probably a misleading notion to check at what temperature your mobo should be ( to some degree), just make sure that what ever cooling system your using is enough for the stock speed of your cpu, do not use something below the recommended cooling system ( the cooling system that comes with your cpu which is recommended and higher (water cooling systems)) and you should be fine (if your not over clocking, then you would have to use a more advanced cooling system). you also might want to consider checking your fans if they are clogged with dust both your cpu and gpu, this may be contributors to why you may be getting absurd temperatures.
  24. I understand that running two video cards with the same amount of memory ( 4 gigs with 4 gigs) doesn't equal to having an effective speed of 8 gigs worth of memory performance or something of the Like ( 4 gigs + 4 gigs) when pairing, this I understand, instead you still have an effective performance of 4 gigs it just clones the other video card etc.,but what effective performance gain do I benefit from having 2 gpu' using crossfire, how does it work?
