  1. So I am trying to run some games on a linux server, and getting nowhere with them and having some struggles. I am using... Ubuntu 20.04 8c16t amd cpu 64GB RAM I have Craftopia up and running with no problems what so ever. Ports are good, ufw allow (port) is good, and friends can connect from whereever they may be. But when I make a fresh Valheim, or 7 Days to die, I can get a complete fresh install on windows working no problem, but when I fire a fresh install up on Linux, for some reason it loads, and then never am able to connect.
  2. When you say CSM, do you mean CBS? Its turned on and re-sizable option is Auto or disabled. It was set to auto.
  3. I will check those out in a little bit.
  4. I have a Ryzen 5800X, RX 6900 XT, 32GB RAM, ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING and I have been trying to figure out why I can't enable SAM. I know I has it enabled at one point, but now it shows that I can't turn it on. I also checked in the BIOS, and it doesnt say I can turn it on there. No BIOS updates have been changed.
  5. So I have a bunch of computers that are exactly the same specs. Same Motherboard, Same case, Same ram, just everything exact. Why does each one have different ram usage? (They display the exact same stuff)
  6. They didn't do their core exercises. Alright. Now that jokes are aside, Just because they are weaker cores doesn't mean they are "weaker". They cram a lot more of them into the die, which causes higher power consumption. I heard they are using AI to help design and make then next gen cards. Maybe there is some sense to the madness after all.
  7. So I am trying to hook up a G3 Instant camera to my Unifi Video (run through ubuntu), and I am unable to see the camera pop up. I do have a Cloud Key 2 Plus, but I want to put the camera on the Unifi Video VM instead. Is there a way to migrate back to video? Or some other way to get the Unifi Video to see the camera? I have been looking at multiple sites and I am stuck.
  8. I will when I get the second one. Thank you! Also, do you by chance know if this mount will work with the Wifi 6 LR AP? https://store.ui.com/collections/unifi-accessories/products/access-point-pro-arm-mount-ea
  9. Its like 250 feet or so. I already tested 1, and it goes further than that. I just was thinking about getting a second one and putting it in the window of the barn and make it a repeater. So "Wireless Uplink" is what im looking for.
  10. https://store.ui.com/products/unifi-6-long-range-access-point?variant=32278085173337 Does this device support a type of repeater mode? Like.... 1 is hooked up to the router, and then this one is in a barn and repeats the wifi? Ethernet isnt an option here.
  11. Game server - Pterodactyl.io I have admins that I want to be able to log into the server when I am not around and mess around. Because of how its set up, it opens up a webpage.
  12. So I have an ubuntu server, That I would like to access outside of my network. Kind like this and not SSH. mywebsite@IP/Port I am not really sure what this would be called, or how to do this. Even with windows, does anyone have any idea how to do this?
  13. Also, for some of the pictures, it looks like these cards were in mining rigs. It seems like they went backrupt even while mining. Cards as what others say, seem to good to be true. They could still easily sell them for MSRP or more right now if they put them up on marketplace or ebay.
  14. I made sure the one I linked was CMR and not SMR. So as long as its CMR, and not SMR, the one I liked should be good?
  15. Movies for Plex, Storage for pcs. I feel reds or pros should be fine then?
  16. I only have 2 USB ports on my nas (custom), so I could add a pcie slot for external, but if I have to move it, its just all in one bit. I would prefer internal if I can. Budget isnt too bad. I would like 2 for now, and I can add 2 more later on. Raid 5 Is the goal.
  17. So I am going to be making a home NAS soon, and was wondering out of these, which would be the best? Its mainly going to be backup of movies and some computer documents for multiple users. USD My thought is to have 4 of them total, and for the price of the Red or IronWolf non-pro, I can get 2 basically for the Gold or Pro versions. WD 4TB Gold - 146$ WD 4TB Red - 75$ Seagate 4TB IronWolf - 80$ Seagate 4TB IronWolf Pro - 140$
  18. So. I have a Ryzen 4800U processor, and I believe this is the socket type for it. Does anyone here know of a heatsink for this socket as I am trying to currently upgrade a mini-pc with better cooler.
  19. So, I am not sure if I could just do Virtual Desktop through steam and do it that way, but is there a way to trick your computer with a link cable while running linux to be using a "Rift S" or something instead of having the Oculus software downloaded? I would like to be able to play VR on linux without having to dual boot into Windows. PopOS 21.10 Ryzen 5800x RX 6900 XT 32GB RAM
  20. I am looking for a 3U case, but not against a 4U. Just something to hold a Plex server and a few other VMs. I was thinking about this, https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-11-147-332 But I wanted to see what everyone was using and what their thoughts were on that case they have.
  21. I will look into that. Thank you!
  22. But chance. Is there a way to Clone the OS with all applications? I am trying to think of a way to mass install an OS for new users with all the needed application installed to them. Like for example.... I want Notepad++, Oracle Box, Teams, WinRAR, and Avast for example. So instead of me having to manually install each program, Would there be a way like just installing windows but they would already be there waiting for me? I understand there is disk cloning stuff, but this is more of a plug in USB, install off that, and leave the PC to the user.
