Hi all, I have recently built a new computer and all of the programs i have running have a very large lag spike when i open Chrome or any other application, what is this caused by? Also there is small micro lags even when playing a game without opening any other application. Before building the new computer there was never any problems like this to be seen. We have downloaded all the necessary drivers for the new hardware (Graphics card, CPU, motherboard, hard drive) and removed the old ones from the device manager. The boot drive didn't change if this has anything to do with it, (SSD) running Windows 10 home edition. We have also tried 32gb of tested ram in a different system with still no change to performance. Just bought a seconds Evga gtx 1070 SC, finally got everything working, but all my games and benchmarks only use card 2. I have a EVGA sli bridge and it is connected. Just yesterday I was replacing the fan at the back of my computer and the two for the hard drives. My CPU is water cooled with a 280mm rad. Without changing any of the cables or fans for my cpu cooler now my cpu hits 100c and will turn it self off. Why is doing this? I need help finding a new 4k gaming monitor. I am looking for a preferably 30-32 inch. I found a 28 that will do but i prefer a little bigger. Price i would like it to be under $600, i don't want to spend too much money. Hello I am looking to get better fans for my computer and replacing the stock fans running at 1300 RPM. Color lights ect isn't that big of a deal to me, just looking for performance for the price. Thanks in advance

From a gaming perspective, which would be better? Two GTX 980s in SLI or one GTX 980 TI? Mostly for 4k gaming.

Currently system is at 42C CPU 51c and GPU 53c but thats without doing anything. I am not sure what they are when actually playing. World of Warcraft during raids at low/medium quality i am getting about 10-25 FPS, it changes quite a bit. Ark: Survival Evolved i get 20-30 FPS with medium quality Far Cry 4 i get 25-40 FPS, but whenever this is an explosion (looking at it or not) i drop down to 1-5 FPS, is it possible for sound to lag a game that bad? If so can it be fixed with a dedicated sound card? I also have a Logitech G930 wireless headset so it's technically always Bluetooth. Where would be some benchmarks i can compare to?

About 1.5-2 years ago i bought a full gaming PC for about $3500 and i feel like it isn't living up to how well it should be preforming, is one of the pieces lacking that i wouldn't know about?
