    Arma 3 is pretty taxing. I'll try that now. It's the drops that makes it unplayable. (http://www.extremetech.com/computing/190463-nvidia-maxwell-gtx-980-and-gtx-970-review/3)

    I just recently purchased a Asus STRIX GTX 970 and I'm having frame rate issues: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/161073537/ArmA%203%2011.01.2014%20-%2022.55.38.03.mp4 Arma 3 runs at about 40 frames with everything on high set up all the way, but it will dip down to around 10 and completely freeze for a second (See Video). This was tested vanilla on a public server with friends playing fine.
