  1. Was the board warped by any chance? Warped motherboards can stop working if you try to straighten them. Also do you have the xeon mod where you cut the tabs in the socket? give the pins in the socket and pads on the cpu a clean. I got 00 a few times and cleaning resolved the issue
  2. Skylake is the new mainstream platform, so thats why there are less z97 motherboards in stores
  3. This is not actually bad compared to whats sold in stores like best buy
  4. seems hot for idle at stock clocks. stock cooler has similar idle temps. Your load temps seem a bit high for that cooler as well but not very bad. I think you have bad mounting
  5. If you want to see which one is reporting the right temperature, download HWinfo and it will show you the real cpu temp
  6. Its probably the power supply thats integrated into the cable

    Loud PSU

I had 1 brake so yeah theyre bad but not very bad, there much worse psus out there. RMA with EVGA is painless It does however deliver the amount of power it states

    Loud PSU

I also have EVGA NEX 650G. i went thorugh 2 and both are quite loud. EVGA psu's without the ECO switch are loud unfortunely and its normal especially with the NEX650G. its louder than the fans i have on my radiator
  9. Once you get to the part where you can chose the partition like you shown in the photo you posted ealier, press SHIFT and F10. this will bring up CMD. Next up type in "diskpart" followed by "list disk". This will show all the drives connected to the pc and will give each one a number. next up type in "select disk x" (change "x" to the number of the drive that you want to format) and then type in "clean". Next type in "convert mbr" once youve done that close the cmd window, press refresh on the list that shows partitions and hopefully this time windows installation wont complain.
  10. Have you backed up your data to external drive? if so, i can guide you with full drive format + MBR restoration. Its all done within the install menu from cmd. Beaware though, this will erase all the data on any partion
  11. I reckon that there will be a battle in the low (i3) and mid-high end cpus such as i5. I think intel will win with the highest end cpus (10 core intel cpu) but the price is going to be very high
  12. Yes because they get more revenue from console players. Console players pirate much less (its very difficult with ps4 however it has been done before). console players are also more likely to purchase add on content such as DLC's. Also most of todays games are made for consoles in mind so it takes time to port them over to PC and add all the extra graphical features. PC gamers have higher expectations than console gamers
  13. The battle between AMD and Intel could prove interesting this year
  14. When you select (click on) the volume, there should be a warning sign on the bottom saying what exactly is wrong.
