  1. Thanks so much! Do you have any recommendations?
  2. Hi there! I am moving from a small condo into a large house and unfortunately will need to start using wifi as opposed to ethernet due to the proximity of the modem and router. My motherboard has two antenna inputs in the I/O port which accepts the "ASUS 2T2R dual band Wi-Fi". These came with my computer but I misplaced them about a year ago. It looks like you can't really order them separately. I'm just wondering what I can plug in here for decent reception? Thanks!!
  3. Thanks very much for the explanation
  4. Sorry, do you mind elaborating? I'd probably get a 1TB M.2 so I would be fine for now with 1.5TB total until I build a new system. Just checking if there would be any speed implication.
  5. Hi there, I have a gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 (Rev. 1) motherboard and am currently using a Samung NVME 950 512GB SSD in the M.2 slot. I've almost run out of space so I want to buy another M.2 to populate the motherboard's second M.2 slot. I couldn't quite understand if populating the second M.2 slot would mean that my hard-drives run at 2x instead of 4x? As for graphics, I have two GTX 980 TI's in SLI. Thanks a lot.
  6. If you are using stock fans then yes. I have Noctua LTT edition fans in mine and it is dead silent.
  7. I think it looks cool but unless it blows the Noctua NH-D15 out of the water it is a no-go for me.
  8. Looks better but we don't yet know about performance. Thoughts? https://www.nzxt.com/products/kraken-x62
  9. Depends on the game. Frames aren't everything. Also depends on settings used.
  10. Hey man. Firstly, I highly recommend scaling back your RAM purchase to 2133 or 2400mhz. It is substantially cheaper and also cooler. If you didn't know, DDR4 is clocked at 2133mhz and you need to over clock it (xmp) to reach the 3200mhz listed speed. This means much more heat coming out of that MOBO region. Also, there really is no performance improvement unless you are a developer that uses some obscure coding programs. Secondly, you will have absolutely no problem driving a 144hz 1080p monitor with a 1070 but I would rather recommend a 1440p display @60hz with gsync.
  11. Are there any LG ultrawide owners that use it with the Ergotech Freedom Arm or Freedom Arm HD? LG no longer provides the VESA adapter for free so you need to buy it off Amazon for 40 bucks. Questions: 1) are you using the regular freedom arm or HD version? It looks as though the monitor weighs 18lbs and that's at the highest load point for the regular arm and slightly below the lowest load point for the HD version. 2) Does the monitor wobble or bounce while you ae typing or putting any pressure on your desk? 3) What are your overall thoughts on the combo? Is it sturdy and safe using the VESA adapter? photos of this contraption isn't very inspiring... Thanks!
  12. I bought a stock of 50 LTT edition fans so I can resell them to others.
