  1. So recently I sold my rig and saved up to 700 dollars. Now I want to get another PC. I pretty much settled on these two: #1: i7-2600 G.SKILL Sniper 8g (2x4GB) Aerocool VX-350 350W psu SSD 64g HDD 200Gb + 1TB H61-DS2 Random case R9 290 #2: i7 3770 H61 Aurum S 500W psu Case =))) 8GB 1333MHz 1TB GTX 950 My intended games will be: CS:GO, TF2. I have a 768p 4:3 monitor 60Hz. Also I will be recording and streaming. The minimum frame that I want to get on this beast is 150 fps on high. Please reply, thanks PS: Linus has a great community
  2. And will they be better than the ultrabooks in terms of editing and rendering
  3. Hi. I have 1100 bucks to spend on laptops. I don't want to get a PC because I only stay at home at night, and I move a lot. I have a few options: Y700, 7559 i7 1080p, XPS 13, Macbook Pro 2015, V17 Nitro 592, and surface pro 4 i7. My needs are to game on it (CS:GO, TF2) so I need more than 120 fps high 1080p, and to do 1080p editing and rendering. I also value battery life and portability (under 3kg is ok). Tks
  4. Meh I want to get rid of the FSP, get a bad psu and get a better GPU instead. Should I do it
  5. Tks i5 2500 that is. Oh one more question: would 2 r7 250s crossfire beat r9 270
  6. Hi. I have sold a few things that I don't need so my budget is 330 dollar now. I found this great deal that is fully working with OS and everything. The seller says that I can just pick any CPU if I pay an extra amount of money. So here's the specs: R9 270, 8GB 1600, Foxconn H61, WD 320Gb, FSP Saga 550 (500W), stock cooler, mATX case. The CPU choices: i3 2100 (what the PC comes with), i5 2320 (extra 20 dollars), i5 2400 (extra 35 dollars) and i5 2500 (extra 50 dollars). Which CPU should I choose and will the build run CS:GO at medium to high 1024p at more than 150 fps? Tks
  7. This what I have in mind: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pcc6GX Be sure to enable all of your games to utilize all cores, since this beast sports 8 cores. 8. I don't think the Athlon X4 860K is a good choice. My i5 2320 had beaten the thing up
  9. So my final decision is the i5 build )) tks you guys a lot for solving this for me )) hopefully ppl with a very low budget can see this post and have a generally idea of what to do
  10. Now, hopefully you're still following this thread. I've found a GREAT deal, better than the i3 thing: i5 2310, Foxconn H61, 4gb 1600, 250 Gb WD, 400W psu (no 6 pin, further upgrades can be taken into account later), mATX case, GTS 450 (requires no 6 pin)
  11. I know the i3 build is OK because I have know someone who has a pentium g3440, 8gb ram, and a gts 250 (is this the right name) and his pc can run Battlefield 4 with no problem. I also tested CS. It was 130fps on medium 18080p
  12. Yes, I know, that's why I chose the i3 3210. Also, the build already has a case and PSU to start with, and even though there are no 6 pin connectors, I won't be using a too power-hungry GPU, just the GTS 450
