  1. They'll have 1080p versions of the new Blade (they have for the past 2 generations), they're cheaper but it's not a touchscreen.
  2. The only thing I hate about having a large res screen is scaling issues in Windows (It's pretty awful lol). But if you reduce the resolution in a game to 1600x900, it's a perfect 1:4 ratio. The games look just fine and it's easier to run than 1080p.
  3. As someone who owns a Razer Blade 2014, I don't see the point in upgrading. The only things they changed compared to the 2015 model is a faster CPU, Chroma lighting and a USB-C port. I think I can hold out a couple more generations before I even think about upgrading.
  4. Do something fun for sure! It's your senior year of high school! The only real reason I'm in college in the first place is because I took an extra class first semester senior year (Intro to Comp Sci) and found out I loved coding it's always nice to try something new, you might surprise yourself.
  5. You could get a WRX STI or Lancer EVO VIII and upgrade the shit out of it. The insurance and overall cost would be 3 times less, making it much more affordable.
  6. Do you have to take 7 classes in your senior year? When I was in high school we also had 7 classes and I only took 5 cause I had all the credits I needed. Honestly I would just take whichever class is the easiest and be done with it (which looks to be AP Bio )
  7. The fact that an iPhone 5 cost $167 to manufacture when they first came out I would say not that much. It's all R&D and advertisements that bring up the cost of a product. Beats headphones is a perfect example of this.
  8. HoloLens looks really cool... But I can never see HoloLens being used for something like Snapchat or social media.
  9. I've used this kit before and they work great! http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00S6DBGJM/ref=s9_top_hm_awbw_b50jE_g147_i8?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=mobile-hybrid-11&pf_rd_r=1099P82H1RCVK1F34V2A&pf_rd_t=30901&pf_rd_p=3b52e653-8edc-59d8-8d3e-b10a96ef91ed&pf_rd_i=1194444 You literally just plug em into an outlet and you're good to go If you want more info on Powerline adapters check out this video:
  10. I find it funny when people post stuff like this. If Nvidia doean't make successful cards this time round (which chances are, they'll continue to make competitive cards) it's not like Nvidia will cease to exist or something. They'll still have companies purchasing server hardware like the Quadro and Tesla cards. It's like if Microsoft doesn't make a successful Windows operating system. They still have tons of business solutions with other companies and divisions. Do I think Nvidia is screwed in any way? Uh, no?
  11. Hey guys, Before I start my little input on things about the content LMG is pumping out, I just want to state I'm not really one to criticize... but this really drove me up the wall. After watching the first 3 seconds of the new Vessel video and reading the title, I stopped watching and closed the tab. Ever since January/early February I haven't been very impressed with the content that's being delivered to the channel. I always enjoyed the latest-and-greatest Monitor reviews, case unboxings, etc. Even the DIY projects like the Fallout 4 bomb build was cool! Now all of the content (like the Vessel upload that went up March 9th) is just stuff that everyone knows about from build logs in the past. Like, seriously? How to plug a graphics card in? Step 1. Take card out of box. Step 2. Plug in said card into top PCIe slot of motherboard or whichever slot is free. Step 3. Plug in power cables. If you don't have the right amount of cables then buy a new power supply or get a card with less wattage. Step 4. Profit...? I would like to clearly state, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. But I would like to know, has anyone else felt like the creativity aspect in LMG's content has been going down recently?
  12. The Pi Zeros are so popular the only place I could find them was Ebay, and they're a bit overpriced (~$20). Honestly I would just get the Pi 3, the Pi Zero is kinda overrated imo.
  13. Sorry man that's not gonna happen. Case is too small, literally no other airflow. Just use the stock heatsink.
  14. When I had a g3258 I just used the stoch intel heatsink and it was plenty quiet... but you could try using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo without a fan.
  15. I remember when the Archos 9 came out... I wanted one so bad!!!
  16. Honestly I would just reinstall Windows and see if that fixes the issue. I know it's annoying having to re-install everything but this is probably your best bet. If that doesn't fix it there could be something wrong with your CPU or graphics card.
  17. After watching the new vid on Vessel, I went ahead and downloaded the SteamVR performance test and I think something's a bit wrong... It looks like the test isn't selecting my GTX 870M. It picks the Intel 4600 graphics instead. Does anyone know of a fix to this? I tried adding the VR program into Nvidia Control Panel and to select the Nvidia card instead but that didn't make a difference.
  18. Yes, Macbooks are great for things like University and college... The only downside is the price. Please expect to pay as much as something like a Razer Blade for a new model. But hey, if money isn't an issue... go for it!
  19. Those CPUs are going for under $100 used on ebay, they're 8 core monsters. Also, that's why I stated you could add extra hard drives to make any kind of RAID config you want.
  20. You can add more hard drives down the line. Here's something a bit basic I came up with: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mfTtcf
  21. Please also note that most hard drives have an operating range. You could risk data loss once the temperature of those drives fall out of range. Here's a quote from Seagate: "The operating temperature range for most Seagate hard drives is 5 to 50 degrees Celsius. A normal PC case should provide adequate cooling." 22. You forgot to add killing people Anyways welcome to the forum!
  23. I was trying to update the BIOS on my mom's computer. Long story short, $150 down the drain
  24. That looks pretty solid! Only thing I would change is the CPU cooler. You don't need one since you can't overclock your CPU. Just use the stock cooler
  25. I had a friend with a similar problem years ago with an i3-2120 and Z68 Motherboard. Swapping the motherboard fixed the issue.
