Mfactory LSD, $700. Been having transmission problems so while I'm going to have the synchros switched out, I figured I may as well do this upgrade which I've actually wanted to do for a while but had no good reason to do it before until now.

What was going on with the tranny? Also have you gotten that recall for the purge valves taken care of yet?

It's tax return time baby, and it's time to get the ST some new shoes, a new colon escape, and possibly some sunglasses. @TVwazhere

If you're referring to the gas relief valve that would possibly show the tank at half full when it was almost empty, yes I got that recall done.

The TL;DR is Ford put shitty synchronizing gears in the transmision and they sometimes break. Usually 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears are the culprits. I've checked and it has sometime happened on completely stock cars so this isnt a "I modded it with too much power" thing. So $350 later, I have brand new upgraded synchronizer gears that shouldn't break, butr I'm still trying to find a transmission shop to do the labor.

    old gears (not my pic)

I really need to re-tint my car, New York made it mandatory tint check during inspections so since I bought my car in Virginia where you can have darker tints, I had to remove mine like a month after I got the car. Any idea on what exhaust you're going to go with?

Oof yeah that doesn't look pretty. I haven't taken mine in for the recall yet just because I hate having other people touch my sh**, but I guess they don't really mess with much for that recall right? Mainly around the tank?

For the exhaust I figured either Borla or Ford Performance for something more tame or if I decide to go all out I'd like the AWE track exhaust set up.

As for some new wheels I'd realllllly like

Leaning towards the turbinas though. I'll have to do more research and looking around however! @TVwazhere

To the best of my knowledge it's evaluated if oyu need the hardware fixed as sometimes it's jsut a software thing? I didnt look too far into it, but mine was returned to me within a day.

Ford Performance actually gets their setup from Borla IIRC so you'd be spending more for the same exhaust :D I have the cobb which seems similar to the AWE, and it has no drone at highway speeds when not under load. (Going up a hill will cause you to hear it, but other than I've had plenty of friends in my car and not a single one has had an issue with it)

I looked at ones similar to the TSW's on the right, but boy were they expensive. My snow tire wheels look similar to the left in overall style, got them on sale for $100 ea at tire rack 2 years ago

I like the left wheels a bit more in terms of styling, but the ones on the right are able to shave off quite a bit of weight I believe. Also, have any recommendations for some summer tires to throw on?

If ford performance is the same exhaust as the borla then no way would I shell out extra $$$ for the same thing haha. Definitely need to do some research. When you installed your exhaust did you cut the stock one or take apart the entire rear axle lol?

For summer tires, I'm using Michelin Pilot Super Sports, but they recently came out with Pilot Sport 4's which are supposed to be better (and from people online, they seem to be) so I would recommend probably the PS4's even though theyre pricey.

I did have to chop the stock tube when me and my friend did the install. only one cut toward the rear axle was required

Awesome. I'll have to check those out once it warms up a bit more... still drops below freezing here in WI! GLHF with your LSD just don't trip too hard and think the earth is flat!

Yeah I still need to find a shop to install it for me. The couple of shops I've contacted either didnt return my message or kept telling me they dont have enough info and to call again in a couple of days

IT's starting to finally be above 40ºC consistently here in NY so I'm probably taking my snows off this weekend.

Just gotta be careful... ended up snowing in april last year for us here haha.

Yeah It snowed two days ago, but it didnt last long at all. My commute is VERY short (>5 miles) so i'm probably safe

I just hit 25k miles on my car after owning it to 2.25 years when iI bought it with 8 k miles. And a good chunk of the miles were done within the last 5 motnhs because I started having a social life ?

The ground still has snow in some places just due to it not getting quite warm enough to melt it all. I'm waiting for one big rainstorm to clear more of the salt/sand off the roads so I can take the bike out. But on the same note, I don't want any more precipitation as a lot of the disc golf courses in the area are still flooded/muddy from everything. Can't wait for warmer weather!
