how are the speeds (yea i know depends on my speeds) and reliability of the connection?

I need help on getting a stronger connection upstairs for wifi. Wifi is very poor upstairs and i need a way to extend it. My home is not wired for ethernet so theres that. I need something to help strengthen the signal and also i will be online gaming etc on the connection so it will need to be good! I cant get an ethernet cable to my pc as the router/modem is downstairs and its fiber so the connection has to be in the room downstairs so theres that out of the picture. Anyways any suggestions is accepted please and thank you!
