So I have a canon powershot sx50 hs and I was looking to improve my mic quality with a shotgun mic. I purchased the Takstar SGC-598 and when then realized that the mic is a 3.5mm and the camera has a 2.5mm port on it. I had an old 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter laying around that i used for a mic previously but still it didnt work. I was looking around and noticed as well that most shotgun mics are 3.5mm. Is there any shotgun mics I could get for my camera? Someone please help.

I don't know if you already bought it or not but from the sounds of things it seems like a total waste to try and get it on the old gen if you want to get a quality cod on old gen i would go with BO2

Seeing the thread it looks like you want something for under $40 so I would recommend to try and meet your requirements maybe check out the NZXT Source 210( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146102) $44.99 If you want to spend just a little extra for a little more highquality you could check out the NZXT Source 220(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146178) $59.99 Not sure if its worth the little extra tho might be able to find a better case for the 60 buck budget so the NZXT Source 210 should be good for what u need. I recently help build my friends pc with that case and it work just fine for the price although he didnt have the side window.
