Considering you have the option, I would say go for the RGB option. In the long run $70 won't feel like a big deal when you know you got the best product in it's class.

If you get a 1080p monitor, of course... As for how well it might run games, just look at 260X benchmarks

Really the only thing holding you back in games is the GPU, so you could just pick up something like a 750 Ti or similar
