  1. Looked extremely clear! I like the form factor of the project as well.
  2. This issue stopped happening for me when I paused adblocker
  3. I know very little about m2v, to utilize more CPU you can try telling AME to use software only that should tax your CPU more so than the GPU and you should see an increase. Try cineform, h264, not sure what else you could utilize on a mac besides encoding back to a ProRes format
  4. For the output though it appears multiple ppl have complained about a delay, knowing my luck it'll probably happen to me. What is nice in theory though (TMU) is that you could make a third slave IPS display just nothing but output of the final image and work from two monitors through the GTX with premiere and lumetri etc etc and not really worry about lag as you could just resize and setup your workspaces specifically for editing on two monitors and coloring on three. IN THEORY
  5. furthermore https://forums.adobe.com/message/6736276 Of course if we're just using the quadro for output display to gain 10bit It doesn't matter if we have options like this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/964120-REG/blackmagic_design_decklink_mini_monitor.html
  6. Not certain yet, and maybe I'd just have to call Nvidia and ask but it looks like there are people who have tried and are successful (Tom's Hardware forums)
  7. Please please please please Linus But do you think that would be an optimal setup? I have access to a titan x for sub 1k and then throw in a pny quadrp k1200 for just the displays?
  8. I think he means encode your video with a different codec via media encoder and try working with that video
  9. You are very right about that. I've been thinking more and more and a dual GPU setup not sure if a cheap quadro for the display is a good way to go along with a gtx980ti hybrid?
  10. Having similar issues, and we are not isolated incidents. Whats interesting is that my playback of 4k in Adobe CC 2015 and CS6 is crap even with i75820k and 970SC, but I can watch with media player classic and its fine. However when I pre-render through CC 2015 the video still drops frames everywhere, but when you use CS6 to pre-render it is smooth with zero dropped frames. It seems like the Adobe techs are stumped too as they have offered nothing to remedy this.
  11. I care about the 400$ thats a big step over my budget. I would need major justification for going that over it. Not asking you to justify squat you are not my employee. Appreciate the input.
  12. Just built an editing station with 5820k, 32gb ram, ssd's, and the gtx 970ssc. This does great with just about anything 1080p but sucks at 4k. Even in just playing 4k back in the NLE (premiere, after effects), it sucks. Start adding effects, color, etc, just a time waster. I am building a new one from the ground up with a limit of 3000$. If I've done my math correctly I think I can get a 5820k, 64gb ram, and a titan X, along with 1tbssd and another 500ssd. I was curious though what you guys would build for Adobe CC 2015 for 3000$? I game occasionally but this new system is meant primarily for work, 4k video editing, animation, sound design. I don't use 3d rending applications much like cinema 4d. To be honest I don't understand how to read the specs for these E5's and Xeons that I keep seeing in workstations, and the quadros just don't make sense to me. That is from a lack of technical understanding not because I just "don't like them" But I would like to know what you guys would put together for a 4k workstation. My emphasis in film is editing, and color correction/grading. I do work on effects, and animation for intros and fancy transitions, but thats about it. TLDR, I have 3 grand, need a new rig that will allow me to work with 4k in adobe premiere and after effects with ease. Thanks for your help!
