  1. When I was away on vacation my modem/router combo went offline and I needed to access some data. I knew what happened the link between my system could not connect to Spectrum. Normally what happens with the indicator lights is the Downstream light is solid the Upstream light is blinking and the internet light is not lit at all. This happened multiple times in the past but I did not think that much of it but now it is an issue that I am running an Exchange server now. I will attach some pictures of channels, event logs, port forwards, and normal logs. The modem/router combo is a Netgear C7000v2. If anyone can help please reply.
  2. So a couple of days ago I noticed outside of my houses internet I cannot access my port forwards and I check the router as I got home and it is asking me to do setup. The WiFi settings were reset and all of my static IP address’s for my devices are gone, as well as my port forwards are gone. Does anyone have any ideas. I also look in the logs a couple days before and it seem I get Tear Drop and Ping of death DOS attacks from a couple random IP Addresses.
  3. I cannot do anything else besides for host from my house because I will not pay monthly for getting a server in a data center because it is just flat out too expensive. I would rather buy servers from 2009-2011 for really cheap and host off the internet connection I already have. Also if they terminate my service due to this they would be going against the promised services to there customers after when Net Neutrality was degraded. I cannot switch from TWC because it is only service provider in my area that is cable. The other people in my house would not like to go back to DSL. As soon as I got onto a game on my Xbox or any other high bandwidth device it would kick everybody off the network due to bandwidth constants. The modem/router combo is a Netgear C6300 which Netgear does not offer anymore firmware updates for because this is the V1 of it. The V2 I have not been able to find anywhere besides for on Netgear’s site and it is not even for sale there. If I reboot my router it still doesn’t do anything because for the first few seconds of the modem being booted it works and after those few seconds it goes back into the status that it was already in. All the switches I have between the modem/router and the server are unmanaged and never have to be rebooted. But since the they are unmanaged the only way of rebooting them is to unplug it from power and plug it in. I have a second network with a separate router that this server is on as well and this network has managed switches as well. The first network I was talking about is basically a DMZ network and the second one is a the internal network. I will attach a diagram of the setup in a future reply after I am done with it.
  4. My down speed is 100MB and the up is around 30 to 60 MB. The requests I am doing are somewhat simple HTTP requests like RDWeb, Certification Services, Printer links, Windows Server Essentials, and a custom coded page that is very simple. I am the only person that uses these services. They did not slow down ports 81, 83, 444, 446 and I use those for iLO 2 because my servers are HP DL360 G6s and DL380 G6s. I have had these ports working for at least two years now and suddenly they just did stuff with them. That does not make sense.
  5. This is a residential connection and the servers are hosted on site in my house. I have no issues with internet slow down. Just the port forwarding has issues. Also I am a 13 year old kid that has no control over the entire network so I cannot VPN my entire house.
  6. I have had ports forwarded on my router for a couple years now and suddenly a couple weeks ago my hosted services slowed down or straight up stopped working. The ports I have really noticed are 80, 443, Remote Desktop Services ports, Active Directory ports. I contacted TWC and they tried to fix it but it just made this run even more slower. It is not a issue with my servers because I can type in the DNS name or ip address of the server and it loads instantly. What should I do. I have priced out how much hardware that they made to not work as intended and comes to a total of $1259.94. Also all of my ports in my Modem/Router are correctly implemented and my internet speed is 100MB with no data cap.
  7. I made a mistake the dual GPU is a 6990. Also the GPU would be going into a HP DL380 G6 with two 750w power supplys
  8. The dual GPU would be a R9 290 and the single would be a EVGA 1050 SC Gaming EDIT: The dual GPU is a 6990
  9. I have a virtualization setup with Hyper-V and I want to add GPU Acceleration to one of my VMs. I could get a dual GPU card that is older for free or get a new single GPU card out of pocket in the $100 to $200 range. Which is better for what I am using it for. (The dual GPU was never used intensity because I am getting it from a friend.)
