Soooo I'm a student and I've saved enough money to bump up my laptop's RAM to 8 GB. I edit videos as projects for my class using Premiere Pro. Sometimes it would stutter and lag if I set the preview resolution to full (idk if this is RAM related or disk), so maybe bumping up my RAM would eliminate the problem. But, we're on summer vacation and it's a few months until we go back to school. I am hoping that the RAM would improve my laptop's general speediness, other than in Premiere. or should I buy a Steelseries QCK+ instead? I play CS:GO.

90-110 fps, but sometimes it dips to 50s

Should I run the game at a higher res to take some load off the CPU?

Hi there! What is the best free antivirus in terms of protection and performance? I'm tired of my classmates plugging malware-infested flash drives on my laptop. I'm using a combination of Windows Defender and MBAM Free, but I've heard that Defender just doesn't cut it. Should I stick to it or just use another program?

I'm also betting it on my hard drive, since it's a typical 5400 RPM drive. Disk usage does jump up to 100%. RAM is constantly high, jumps up to 100% at times as well. Maybe the page file is being consumed?

Hi there! I use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing videos as projects for my class. Sometimes, Premiere lags and holds up whenever I try to play the preview in full resolution. The problem does go away if I play it in 1/4 resolution. I'm thinking of upgrading my laptop's RAM to 8 GB since it only has 4 GB. Would the problem go away, or at least be minimized?
