  1. Yeah I wouldn't go with open headphones if you want bass. the 518s are going to be lacking in that department.

The 439's probably have more bass. Especially if you modify them.

  2. The cooler issue with EVGA is no longer an issue. It has since been established there is no problem with the cooler. It's simply a different design than most of us are used to seeing and it functions just was well as the rest.

Oh alright. Then you probably won't go wrong with any of them really. Get whichever one looks best to you for the price or is available the quickest.

  3. I have the MSI one because it was one of the cheapest near me. it was like a 50$ difference to the asus. Its been great on me so far. Con is no backplate. But it does turn the fans off under a certain temperature which I like. Makes it really quiet. I'm a big fan of the big fans on the MSI as well (hehe). I wouldn't personally go with the EVGA because of the weird cooler placement of the thing. oh the MSI has a 6 and 8 pin too, instead of 6 and 6. So basically you can't go wrong with gigabyte asus msi, and the others are probably fine as well. I just don't know about them.

  4. I am somewhat hoping that as time goes on Corsair will release other types of Key-switches for their K RGB line-up.  They'd have me immediately if they had an MX Green or MX Clear option.  Preferably clear's as they're my favorite as of late, but - I  do hope they diversify their line-up of switch's or maybe even just have limited editions.

I really don't think that'll be worth it for either corsair or cherry. They had to develop these new switch housings with rgb leds and stuff, and I can't imagine that being cheap. So presumably they just picked the best selling switches, and clears and greens are unfortunately not part of that. Maybe if they turn out to be very succesfull they'll do a run with less popular switches, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

  5.

    Ahhhhh they have them!

I'm ordering the K95 RGB Brown ASAP when AMAZON UK stock them. Still waiting on Amazon to stock the msi gaming gtx970 too :(

Overclockers have it on their website though

£160 isn't that bad to be honest.

Hopefully It's in my hands before Friday! Same with the GTX970, come on Amazon!!

Lots of reviews will be coming today so I guess I can watch a couple on youtube later on.

Oh really? its not in stock yet? I just ordered my 970 msi and its expected to be delivered on Wednesday. this is in the Netherlands.

I digress though, really excited to see them coming out with the first k70-95 with non linear switches.

  6. found the first k70 rgb available in Europe, and it is not looking good.

one of the biggest Dutch online pc component store's is selling it for 200(260$).

hope they drop a 100$ in price soon.

Yeah I've seen that too. But that's most likely because they're the first and only one to have the keyboard atm. They usually charge a premium for that. At least I hope.

  7. I'm a lazy little twat, and I can't be arsed to read 20 pages of this topic, so can someone explain to me why the K60, K70 and K95 are still not out in the US of A? Here in the Netherlands we can already walk into a store and buy em. No problem. I have no idea on the availability on the brown's and blue's (Red for the win!).

It's kind of annoying that we can get the keyboard but we don't have the software yet. We wantz to program our shizzle Corsair!

This is about the RGB versions of these keyboards, not the normal ones. If you've found the RGB version in the netherlands, please tell me where because I will drive there tomorrow.

  8. I just want the brown switches so bad.  I'm assuming since the reds had about a one month delay, I will have to wait until the end of this month for the browns :(

Do you guys still think the issue was the LED lights in the keyboard?  I don't understand how this would delay the other switches as well.

We have no clue on anything whatsoever as corsair isn't really communicating anything about it. This whole thread is pure speculation.

But yeah hoping browns and blue's show up soon.

  9. I am back from PAX, and am excited to say I got to test out the K70 RGB and software! The keyboard is pretty amazing, the latency on the RGB reactions is very low, resulting in some super fast colour reactions. I felt, however, that the software for the keyboard was a bit cumbersome. It will take a bit of time inside, tooling around and messing about, to find every setting.

Hey I'm guessing if you're willing to spend nearly $200 on a keyboard, you don't mind tinkering with the software a bit. Plus that software is probably still in beta, and not too hard to update.

  10. According to a shop near me in the UK they have the RGB K95 on order for the princely sum of £189.99, Converted to US dollars comes to $312.90 and $342.03 Canadian.

I know they won't be that much in the US or Canada but the UK pricing seems to be correct.

Prices are getting a little silly now.

I seriously doubt that. Maybe initially because they're the first or something. Then shops usually charge a premium. And yeah the UK and EU prices are very likely going to be quite a bit higher than the US ones, but not almost TWICE the price. That would make importing them from the US including $50 dollar shipping still a hell of a lot cheaper. That does not seem like a smart business move.

  11. Duhhh, my bad   Thanks for the clear up

Hopefully it will be cheaper then  :D

If the retail in EU is significantly more expensive then importing it from the US that is probably going to lead to some trouble. I find it hard to believe its going to be almost 2x the price here. I'm guessing (pure speculation) It's going to cost about €170 for the K70.

  12. I have had the 8gb for a couple of months now and I love it.

Granted I went from a galaxy gio which is an absolute piece of shit.

Haven't noticed any slowdown so far even when multitasking, at least not noticeable for me.

Sturdy enough to be dropped on pavement a couple of times without any scratches whatsoever (whoops).

I find it quite easy in the hand, but I don't know about small hands.

I am by no means a phone expert, but it has everything I want for the budget I wanted.

I'm with Linus here and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend $400 on a phone.

  13. Okay so I went on to listen to some headphones today.

And what I found out was that I prefer the Sennheiser sound to that of the Beyerdynamics.

The Beyerdynamics sound just a little to harsh to my ears in the upper levels.

The bass from the Sennheisers was plenty for me. So I now have to reconsider my options.

So that leaves me from my original list with the Audio-Technica ATH-50 and the Sennheiser 558.

I tried the 598s on the same marantz cd player I used for the Beyerdynamics, and that sounded pretty damn good.

I later tried the 558s as well but they ran of a shit source with shit music, so that was hard to compare. (they also had an HD700 hooked up to the same source, which were next to some beats )

So does anyone have some more recommendations apart from the ones already listed, considering I wouldn't be happy with the Beyerdynamics?
