SafiMajid reacted to Daniel644 in 10 Ways Mac OS is just BETTER
well now you have, I use it daily, several times a day as I put my computer to sleep when I take it to work so I use it to sign in at work, then again at the restaurant I eat dinner at every night after work then again when I get home, i've legitimately used it well over 1,000 times to sign in since I got this computer in late November/early December 2017 and I can count the number of times the facial rec failed and I had to enter my pin on my hands and those failures pretty much all happened when I had a light source directly behind me relative to the cameras angle (aka a flood of infrared light).

You use one of the may IDEs availible. And a growing number of them have native WSL support for even easier setup experience for your Linux dev needs.
At work, depending on the project language, we tend to use JetBrain suit (CLion, WebStorm, etc) or Visual Studio Code (this is free and open source) or some guys uses Atom. I am missing some I am sure, but that is what is used where I work. Here is a survey of popular IDEs, and I have to agree with this from where I work: https://insights.stackoverflow.com/survey/2018/ (that said we don't use Visual Studio IDE, company doesn't want to spend money on it)
Despite, where I work, we live in Linux world for most projects, most developers don't touch directly Linux. They either have a Mac or just work under Windows (many switch from Mac to Windows with the coming of WSL)
WSL came a very long way since it came. Microsoft has been doing significant notable improvements at each version of Windows. For a while now, it has been quiet mature. It really goes slow the moment you do certain.. I guess you can call it "dev ops" things like working with dockers. This is something that Microsoft is addressing with WSL2. Most devs at the office don't care, as they just remote to the Lab computer and work there to setup/test their docker env, or whatever doesn't run proper under WSL.

Just watched the video and looking the comments...
Windows does have "Time Capsule", it iscalled "File History". It's interface won't win any awards being utilitarian, but it does just about the same job.
And Windows does have Virtual Desktops, and does have the trackpad gesture to switch between them.

SafiMajid got a reaction from SirSanches in AMD Radeon announces a "Full RX470" in a laptop
Yes you heard it right, AMD has finally stepped up the game to claim its name in mobile GPU market dominated by the competitor Nvidia. Nvidia due to great power efficiency of Pascal, recently announced GTX 1060, 1070 and 1080 in laptop form factor. Yes Nvidia pulled a lead here but the Radeon does not want to lag behind anymore. yes you heard it right Alienware is introducing Full RX 470 in their 15" and 17" laptop line up.
GTX 1060 in mobile form factor has reduced clockspeeds but RX 470 is full fledged GPU within the laptop. Which theoretically makes it a direct competitor to Nvidia
Alienware is also assuring "Future-proofness" as it is fully compatible with Alienware Graphics Amplifier. Plus they have attempted to make the laptops aesthetically better.
With AMD RX line-up coming to laptops I foresee that laptop/mobile market trends will change. With the upcoming Zen release A Laptop with Zen based CPU and Polaris Based GPU would be a compelling option for consumers due to presence of Async compute engines present in GCN architecture and DX-12 and Vulkan Adoption expectancy.

i can surely back up your comment as newer and newer titles are becoming more and more graphically demanding. But at the same time Rx470 does score well at 1080p ultra in many titles
