  1. Hey. So im buying a second hand vive this weekend, and I don't think my current RX 580 will be good enough to have a decent gaming experience in VR games. As a result, im looking to upgrade my GPU as well, and im conflicted about my GPU choice. I have budgeted $1000 AUD to spend on a GPU, so the RTX 2080 and Radeon VII are the cards of choice for me. Heres the problem; Radeon VII is generally a bit slower in games than the RTX 2080. It's also sold out everywhere. While the 2080 is faster, I do not want to support Nvidia at all over their anti-competition bullshit with GameWorks (gimping their previous gen and AMD cards to force you to buy a new one; https://www.criticalhit.net/technology/is-nvidia-being-anti-competitive-with-gameworks/) and their outright f*** you mentality to the open source Linux community. I want to have the best experience I can, but I don't want to support Nvidia at all. Should I wait for the Radeon VII to come back into stock and take a performance hit, or swallow my pride, buy a 2080 now, and spend the weekend playing SUPERHOT VR?
  2. This mini pc would make an excellent steam machine, specifically for in-home streaming
