  1. Thank you for the quick reply. I will use this as a reference and look back at this later on, your help has been much appreciated on my way to item name ascension. I will also study a bit more on how the program works. Thank you! And have a wonderful day / night !
  2. Hmm. This will be tricky, I think I got a problem. I need to be able to choose where [C] (counter) on the new file names go. (If I would rename it) and I tried the "replace with" to add [C] but simply putting in " - " (dash) would just remove the dash of them all. I used handbrake to convert some video files and it added all as an extra digit at the end. My fault for not noticing this when encoding.
  3. Oh... I feel a bit silly now. I did not know about this software and the video is very helpful however I will need time to learn this haha! Thank you! (I guess this is now solved)
  4. Hello. I am trying to change file names of a lot of files (1332 to be exact) and they are all similar but they need to be in order. Not sure how I should describe it. As example: " filename X-31 " meaning there is "filename X-XX" and I would like to put everything (all 1332) to remove " -XX " including the dash from the file names. I been manually click pause click and delete for around 20 files but this is going to take a long time. So please help me with some sort of Power-shell command ( I heard this is the only way ) The files are in several folders, like... 180 but every file have the universal " -XX " where X is a number. So if you could select all 1332 and just simply remove anything past the dash that would be nice and it would make my weekend. I don't know if this is the right thread to post it in. I apologize if it's not. Thank you!
  5. Um, I changed from EVGA G2 to G3, is that worse now? What the??
  6. Alcohol 120 is still safe? Their site is marked as unsafe by Firefox? So in practice, there is no better way to copy protected early 2000's games to a ISO file to archive? ?
  7. Hi I tried this but I got errors using it. Something with SecuROM or SafeDISC. Will imgburn copy all of my physical games to ISO etc?
  8. It can't be THAT easy... can it? ? What about an ISO file? Will the game still run by just copy and paste? Cheers.

    Monitor Help

Sorry for the late response. I do have a GTX 1080, by now I bought the Acer XB27. With my old IPS I did notice terrible ghosting and it was locked to 60hz. It felt a bit of a waste to pair a 1080 with a 60hz screen. I can't say I notice any difference on G-Sync (it's my first experience for around a month now) but maybe that is the point. It's dynamic frame rate... ?
  10. Hello I would like to know the best way to backup physical games that I got stored in my bookshelf, I done it some years ago but since then I got some new ones. They are for PC... Is there any preferred way to do it? I don't mind paying for software if it will work better. I surely do hope this does not class as piracy?! I'm just trying to archive my games onto my HDD. Cheers ?

    Monitor Help

So it's actually worth it getting a 144hz TN with 1ms for gaming and keeping the IPS one for movies? ?

    Monitor Help

Hello! ? I recently got myself a higher end GPU but my monitor is 60hz 1080p. My friend say I should go with a G-sync TN 144hz panel that's 1440p, will that be too hard to drive in AAA games? What is the actual point of G-Sync when you have V-Sync to limit it at the max refresh rate? (Etc 144) Also my current one is a IPS panel with response time up the boot but the colors are very good. I do like the color accuracy but I don't do anything mission critical but I still like to watch Planet Earth on Blu-ray... ? so to speak but I been recently getting into fast paced gaming, FPS, racing, platforming etc. I been aiming my scope onto two monitors, the Acer XB271HUA and the Asus PG278QR. I heard TN is better for gaming but do they look ugly? Is it worth getting a IPS "Gaming" panel for a bit more? There is no budget more than I don't want to waste too much money on things that are just fancy and not functional. Cheers and be kind I recently got into serious PC gaming.
  13. Oh! So it doesn't matter too much. That is what I was worried about that I might have to go another step to merge them at PC that my phone didn't do! Thanks for letting me know.
  14. Yes my phone take the picture in TIFF format, I plug in my phone into Windows 10 and it show up as a camera, I transfer the pictures and when I open the location i have for example 045.TIFF and 045.DNG they are the same picture but the TIFF is 40MB and the DNG is 10MB in size. Should I just sort the folder of file type and delete all DNG files and keep the TIFF? If yes, then why do it save them as separate (the negative, as I am to believe all though the colors of the DNG is same as the TIFF) I'm just afraid that if I delete the DNG files that the quality or something will be less.
