  2. If you have a newer version, it might not be the reason, you can always just uninstall it and install the chipset driver from the gigabyte page. However, I do not believe that this is the cause of your issue.
  3. I am assuming that you have checked that you only have one keyboard connected? Does the issue still happen in Windows Safe mode? Have you cleared CMOS/ reset BIOS? Have you tried different USB ports? Have you tried different keyboards? Have you installed your motherboard chipset drivers?   4. what do you mean by can't press? Are the key presses not getting registered/picked up? Are you spamming the key as soon as the pc is turned on? if not you should try it again. I think your hard drive is dead. Asus uses the AMI (American Megatrends Inc.) BIOS on that motherboard. It is what the manual shows.
  5. I think you are talking about certain CPUs no longer being supported when upgrading BIOS to support 5000 series CPUs due to the EEPROM limitation. This only impacted motherboard using 16MB or 128Mb BIOS chips. Your motherboard is not affected by this limitation and a BIOS upgrade will be fine (Due to it using a 32MB chip).   6. When you install the OS, it will setup a partition (invisible to you) that will contain the boot information and the BIOS/UEFI should pick up on that and offer it as a boot option. Try installing the OS first then setting the drive under boot priority afterwards.
  7. As others have said, you can upgrade the RAM on your laptop. However, the CPU is soldered to the motherboard as it is a Mobile variant so you cannot swap it for an i3 or i5 unfortunately. Modern CPUs used in laptops tend to not be replaceable. There used to be a time when you could swap CPUs but this is no longer the case as companies are aiming for thinner and lighter laptops.   8. By different colours, can you explain a bit more? is it like when you have a loose connection on the VGA cable where it all goes one colour? If its all one colour, you can try different adapters or different cables. Or are the colours slightly different to what was displayed using your previous output? I am assuming that you have installed the Nvidia drivers for the GTX 1650. You can alter the colour settings in the Nvidia control panel. See if that helps at all. Also VGA is fairly old nowadays, I would recommend upgrading your monitor at some point in the future if it doesn't support any other inputs. A picture of what you had before vs what you see now colour wise would help a lot.
  9. When it is boot looping on the splash screen, does it show an error message? or any message? Are you able to get into BIOS? To get into the BIOS, hit DEL while the the system is starting until you see a different image. (Page 37 of the manual (2-7)) If you can get into the BIOS, are you able to see your hard drive?   10. Your English is superb! By reseating, I simply mean removing it from the slot then reinserting it back into the same slot. I think it will be good to verify that the GPU + PSU works. I will have a look at "ASUS prime B350m-a orange light". By Orange light, am I correct in thinking that you are referring to the lines on the motherboard near the back of the PCI-E slot and the bottom of the motherboard IO? Don't worry about disconnected SSD, even without storage, the system should still turn on and show the motherboard logo/splash screen. The only difference is that it will not go into windows which is irrelevant right now since we can't even see POST.
  11. Confirm that you are not connecting the monitor to the motherboard instead of the GPU. I am assuming that when you say won't power on, there is no sign of life on the PC. No lights, or fan spin. I am also assuming that you've done the basics of troubleshooting as other posters has said: Clear CMOS Reseat GPU / Test GPU in another system Verify RAM is on QVL I would suggest that you test the parts outside of the case. Do as you did before with testing the parts. CPU + motherboard + Cooler + 1 stick of Ram + GPU. The motherboard should preferable be on the motherboard box when testing and not on anything that conducts electricity. Connect the PSU to it using the appropriate cables making sure they are correct. Connect your display to the GPU. Then turn on the system using a screwdriver to bridge 2 pins. You can locate the pins using the motherboard manual on page 12 (1-4), Number 8 - Atx Power Button pins. Try loosening the screws on the cooler a bit to reduce the board flex. Can you take a picture of your standoffs in the case when the motherboard is not present as well. I want to rule out the possibility of a short from a standoff in the wrong location. Given that your system doesn't turn on at all with the GPU installed + the PCI-E 8 pin power plugged in. I would suspect a short. The orange light is an indicator of power if I'm not mistaken. If that is not on or goes out when you plug in the GPU power cable then I would replace that cable as it is either not meant for that PSU or is not the right type. OR it means you have a faulty GPU. It is unlikely the GPU will be faulty given that you have fan spin. EDIT: The orange lighting is referring to the RGB/Board lighting. Not status LEDS. Still a good enough indicator of power and worth checking the above. To summarise, I would do the following: Rebuild the system outside the case. Check that the Power cable going to the GPU is correctly labelled as PCIE or if there is a spare one, to swap it to that and test. Test with another PSU if that fails to work. Maybe loosen the Cooler a bit so the board isn't flexing/bending as much if it is. If the above doesn't help then I would try with a different GPU. At the very least I would except the system to display a message stating that the GPU power has not been plugged in if the power cable is disconnected.
  12. I think you will need to verify your windows install doesn't have anything wrong with it. Run in CMD (Admin Mode): DISM /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth to scan windows DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth to fix any errors SFC /scannow to find and fix any corrupted windows files CHKDSK /F C: to check the integrity of the filesystem I would run it in order SFC > CHKDSK > DISM SCAN > DISM RESTORE.
  13. Do you know long it has been happening for? did it start after an update? I remember that you said you had an SSD, what SSD is it? A Samsung? Do you use your laptop's display at the same time as the Monitor? A long shot but might be worth reinstalling graphics drivers using DDU.
  14. Yes, I just went to try find mine and I couldn't find it either. It would appear that they've moved or hidden it. That's not good Your PC should easily be able to run Word. xD I would reinstall your Graphics drivers if you haven't already. Use DDU to remove the old nvidia drivers then install new drivers. see if the issue persists. If your games run fine + stress testing shows no artifacts, I would suspect that its a software issue.
