  7. Budget (including currency): ????? Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: may be used for ai coding as well as different rpgs Other details: i know it says no dream builds but that is what i am actually building. have been getting part for a few months now monitors: https://www.microcenter.com/product/646643/lg-40wp95c-waus-397-5k2k-wuhd-(5120-x-2160)-72hz-ultrawide-curved-screen-monitor (Have) https://www.microcenter.com/product/654048/lg-32uq85r-waus-315-4k-uhd-(3840-x-2160)-60hz-led-monitor (have) keyboard mouse, mic and speakers have. Power supply: seasonic 1600w (have) case: O11 dynamic XL (have) ram: 64 gb 6000 (have) - debating about changing out to 192GB gpu: 4090 (need) cpu: 13900k (have) mobo : msi Godlike z790 (have, explain why later in post) fans : li lie cooling: ???? second comp: mac studio i am building a new pc and am debating about just going full send as i already have so much spent on it. I got the monitors for work and want to add a gaming pc to the set up. the problem is in order to make sure everything, keyboard, mouse, sound and camera follows properly i need to use thunderbolt 4 from the 40 inch to the computers as it is the only way all 5 things will follow properly between the 2 computers. right now i have the mac studio hooked up via thunderbolt to the 40 inch and the 32 inch daisy chained to the 40 inch via usbc so i have the audio input from them and all 4 usb inputs between the 2 monitors running back to the computer via that one cable. in order to keep one keyboard and mouse hardwired to both computers i needed to be able to connect via thunderbolt and then just unplug and plug as their are no switches for thunderbolt. the problem is that their are very few mobos that support thunderbolt and even fewer that support thunderbolt AND are able to pass the GPU video and not the iGPU signal though. thus after only finding like 3 of them i settled on the godlike as i like the look the best . . . and so i can say my computer is godlike. (shrugs) now im debating im already spending this much on the computer should i just go all out and do a custom loop and max out my memory. i know the O11 dynamic xl is great for water cooling and the tubing would make the case look fuller and fill it out and then i can also maximize the cooling of the system either that or get a liquid cooled GPU but feel that will not look as good
  8. so i am a software dev and have a mac for mobile application and a thunderbolt display i. i had to sadly disconnect my gaming pc for my work setup as i need to be able to connect my pc to my monitor via thunderbolt. i would rather go with the maximus hero. however it has no input for the video signial back into the motherboard to then send out to the monitor via thunderbolt. where as the godlike does. i am going to be running 2 4k display, sound, and perfs off of this one cable so i need the display to pass though. thoughts? am i missing something about the hero?
  9. that was my first thought. i dont but can get an air cooler tomorrow to test with
  10. specs: asus x570 mobo ryzen 9 5950x lien le 360 aio lien le o11 dynamic glass asus 6800xt asus rog 800w psu need advice on where to start troubleshooting. just got home and started to feed my addiction to lol. not even 2 min into the game my pc starts to slow and lag and finally die. try to restart the computer and i get a warning on boot saying cpu overheated. go into bios and see it is sitting at a toasty 100 C then auto shuts down again. give it a few min and try again now have it on just idle with asus cpu tool and it is sitting at 90 pac 43 mobo and general cpu temp at 80? i feel it is the cooler but am worried it is the mobo or something else. also i have been using this computer for the last year so i know it is not that i miss plugged something in. I guess this is what i get for locking little devil teemo sup in blinds lol
  11. sorry for got to mention that i did try an hdmi cable and it does still happen i just dont have a second dp cable.
  12. i have a zotac amp extreme gtx 1080(about 2 years old) and a 34inch lg 21:9 monitor (from christmas) and for some reason over the past week or so the monitor started to flash black and then pink(the entier screen not a giving the imige a shade of pink but all pink) i have update the drivers to see if that was the problem and no did not fix it. i do not have another desplayport cable to chack if that is the issue, but moving the monitor or the cable does cause the issue. so i need help what could it be. i do have a warrenty on my gpu but i do not know about my monitor
