  1. Work systematically through this standard checklist and troubleshooting thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-read-postin... I mean work through, not just read over it. People spent a lot of time on this. It should find most of the problems. IF, like you said, it works with no CPU installed, but with CPU it doesn't work, either: -Your board and that CPU are not compatible -Ur CPU is RIP -IDK
  2. Similar Problem: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-support/161890-monitor-turning-off-getting-acpi_smc_platformplugin-gathercstateoverrides.html They say: Try to boot with "dart=0 nv_disable=1" no idea what this means, but if you do, try it.... Other solution might be to boot to different drive to access OSX drive, navigate to system/library/extensions/ioplatformpluginfamily.kext/show package contents/contents/plugins, and delete the acpi_smc_platform plugin. Try the first on first though, as the second one might cause a fresh install to be needed Also: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-desktop-support/109840-4770k-z87x-ud5h-wont-boot.html try boot with GraphicsEnabler=NO
  3. Check this out: http://hardforum.com/archive/index.php/t-1762299.html Could be a faulty CPU thermal sensor for the BD PROCHOT thing; it might be dedicated, so while windows might report otherwise, BD PROCHOT could be getting different signals, and cause throttling to occur.... doesn't look like you can reinstall it, or just delete it or anything.... If it is from windows, you can delete it, then run SFC (system file checker) to re-download it. Only REAL fix looks like the one your currently using....
  4. Yah, eithir PSU (which everyone else already said, or IDK.... try a fresh install of windows or running system file checker to check for corrupt files. Just go to cmd (launch as admin) and type "sfc /SCANNOW". Message me back what happens
  5. You might not have enough power from your Power Supply...... If it only plummets under load, it could be because your GPU sucks up the power, and your CPU is left dry.... how many watts is your power supply, and what GPU are u running?
  6. My sister has an iPhone 5( or 5s maybe) and tends to bend her cord so much she needs to replace them every other month or so; this leads to either me doing a make-shift fix with my poor soldering skillz, or her buying another expensive cord for $20~30. Due to my attempts of having her switch to an android being futile, I would get her this; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F5MAL3E/ref=s9_al_bw_g107_i4 It's a wireless charging pad that would eliminate the constant abuse of her cord. I would get her this one - compared to others - because although it would allow wireless charging, she might sometimes want to watch a movie in her bed, with a dead battery, and this charger also allows direct charging. It also still allows audio jack accessibility. EXTRA NOTE FROM A PROFESSIONAL BUTT FACE: Looking at some people above, it kinda sounds like a lot of you guys just want stuff 4 yo slef...... "I would get my sister an Nvidia SHIELD Tablet..." "I would get my bro a racing wheel"... mmhm.... sure.... "sister" "brother"..... Not saying you guys ain't legit, just doesn't sound like it.... (Some people sound legit btw.... these were just examples of those guys who weren't)
  7. My favorite is that Dimora mouse pad; it's cool how it's a solid piece rather than a flexible fabric, like most other mouse pads. I don't know how much you actually benefit from this, but it's definitely a unique feature. If I won one (heck, I might even just buy one myself if I don't win), I would put 12V (so they're off when the PC is off) USB LEDs as an under-glow to it , and paint the acrylic (assuming they're acrylic) borders to complement the LEDs. That would look SICK. I'm thinking a blue-orange scheme; I haven't seen any on the interwebs and it is definitely an attention-grabber color pair.
