GingertronMk1's Achievements

  1. It uses a damn laser for autofocus. A LASER. Dude.
  2. What PWM is in relation to fans, and how it differs from 3pin molex.
  3. My friend was playing TF2 in some public match, and a little kid came on the chat and would not shut up. The game progressed and there were some windmills, so the kid commented on them, saying "Oooh, windmills!" a which point one of the guys ion my friend's team screamed "YOU'RE A F*CKING WINDMILL!" at them.
  4. Email jim@caselabs.net. Nice bloke, he'll give you the info you need.
  5. Fractal Define series. Dust filtering up front and the ModuVent closes up the big gaps that let lots of other crap in.
  6. I hope it's a black one. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/fractal-design-(black)-side-panel-for-define-r3
  7. H80i into commander, commander into USB.
  8. Now imagine that memory is twice as tall. There's your problem.
  9. So, I'm looking for a new case. I've settled on the Cubitek Magic Cube AIO, which does the whole direct-airflow-without-drive-cages thing. It also supports 120 and 140mm fans in the front, so I have a question: should I use NF-F12s or NF-A14s? Is the focussed nature and general awesomeness of the F12s superior to the natural physical advantage of the NF-A14s having more surface area?
  10. It's running atm. I should note that the CPU is running at 1200Mhz @ 1V, though that's largely due to the 775 cooler that's sitting on it.
  11. So, my first ongoing build log-type-thing. Also my first attempt at modding (not really, just drilled out a few rivets). The spec as is: CPU: i7-950 Motherboard: Rampage III Extreme RAM: 2 x 3GB Corsair XMS3 2000Mhz HDD: Barracuda 320GB Case: Cooler Master Mystique 631 (No drive cages anymore) Fans: Crappy OEM Cooler master 120mmx2 I have WRECKED this case. I have no intent really to keep the case, I just really wanted to use it, so I (to use the best Linus-ese) ghetto'd it together. Why yes, that is duct tape. The front panel is duct tape. As well as some dust filter and grill-thing from the standard bezel. Front fan held in by cable ties, and the POST buzzer stuck on t'other side of the tape. Thanks to the 1cm of cable routing room on the other side to the mother(board) side, that side panel won't fit properly. So I'm just saying it has turbo-vents. And this. This is where the front/top panel I/O came out, but now, it's taped over and where the power switch goes. This is by no means finished. Obviously. I'm presently holding out for the Ducky Shine 3 and the new Noctua giant eff-off CPU cooler before I change anything else. I'll maybe get another fan though, because I want all the positive pressure.

  13. Somebody at school called me 'Gingertron', found out what it meant, Liked it. Tried it on Twitter, taken. Add something at the end, 'Mk1'. Done.
  14. Asus' "Extended ATX" boards use standard ATX Mounting holes, they just have extra bits of motherboard past the DIMM slots. Yes, an E-ATX case is good for them, but they aren't necessary. The Silverstone TJ04 for example, though not an E-ATX case, will fit an R4E.
