elsegan's Achievements

  1. Razer Blade Stealth for that amazing screen, I would love to be able to edit my photos with full colour depth :3
  2. Current setup is: Logitech M505 Mouse, Logitech K800 Keyboard, Logitech Z320 Speakers. Like the small size of the mouse, I can use it fairly well in most situations and its super easy to pack with my laptop but it has tracking issues due to being wireless... Keyboard is good enough given that its the only full size backlit wireless keyboard I know of. Speakers are fine, would prefer a headset.
  3. Unless you have heavily CPU bound things to do Guuhan has the right idea with the 6600k and try to boost your gpu with the extra cash. If you're at 1080p though its probably not worth it to go above the R9 390.
  4. SSD. Because nobody should have to wait for loading screens. No but seriously, I recently upgraded my dad's desktop (Q9550) from a mechanical 7200rpm drive to an SSD from way back (SATA 2). Not only is the system usable again but its so much more responsive. They way SSD's handle random read and writes simply can't be matched by a mechanical drive. I think everyone should be able to experience the joy and freedom that is a boot drive SSD. And at 240GB its way more than enough to have just an OS on, you'll even be able to enjoy the sleek and seamless booting of ALL the programs on your PC.
  5. 1.25 seems a tad high for turbo, it could be that you have a slightly lower end bin of the 4790k's, mine usually is about 1.23/1.24V If you're concerned about the thermals for longevity, turn turbo boost on in your BIOS, install Intel's extreme tuning utility (XTU) and then run your games for a while. You should be able to check the XTU for thermal throttling. As long as you're not throttling you don't really need to be concerned with your voltages. Plus the XTU makes it really easy to set a lower voltage and then test the system if you do want to lower the voltage.
  6. Right, well my fans should be in the mail any day now. thanks guys
  7. Sweet, hopefully I can get my hands on the LTT editions :3 From what I've seen here in Aussie-land they're actually cheaper to get from PLE than regular NF-F12's from pccasegear, which is interesting... So I shouldn't have any issues with them on the rad, that's good news. They're rated to about half the CFM that the stock ones are, not that I really believe the stock ratings. But being rated to ~100CFM when basically no other fans, let alone 120mm, are rated that high seems fishy.
  8. Been a little annoyed by how loud the stock fans are on the water 3.0 pro recently, I'd like to change them out for something similar but a little quieter. Things to note: i7 4790k processor small tower case (atx) I have planned to get two NF-F12's, should I use them for general airflow or will they be okay for the rad?
  9. The Aria is quite possibly the best looking pair of headphones I've ever seen. I'm a real sucker for wooden products and they look so well crafted, its exciting :3 The wood being Japanese pine is even more alluring. All the other products have awesome features and colour schemes too, love me some matte/flat finishes.
