DarkKnightFXR's Achievements

  1. Thanks for the giveaway. The headphones look really cool. I would love to see a frequency response graph for them.
  2. I currently use the GTX 970, I'd love to have an AMD GPU/CPU to support the underdog who is more pro-consumer than Intel or Nvidia.
  3. The projector looks pretty awesome. I don't have a place to use one, sadly... but, one can get creative.
  4. I would love to be able to give my girlfriend a new headset as noted below. She and I pretty much never have any money, so, she is never able to have anything nice. I figure it would be a wonderful surprise for her to get an actual headset that works great instead of cheapies that she will probably end up rebuying after a few months wasting money in the long run. http://www.amazon.ca/Sennheiser-Acoustic-Gaming-Headset-Black/dp/B00KK8ZLEC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1449737150&sr=8-2&keywords=Sennheiser+G4ME
  5. I've never done a small build before, this would definitely be interesting to have under the belt as things I've handled. Also, it'd be a huge upgrade for the girlfriend who games on the equivalent of a high tech toaster.
  6. This build is pretty sick. I'd recommend a 1TB WD Black. Maybe 2TB. I find you should try to get more bang for your space in your system case. You can go lower on your PSU's wattage as most wattage specifications are significantly overblown. I wouldn't be surprised if your PC never runs over 350 Watts max and I'm being generous (Recommendation would be around 600-650 Watts of a high quality and high rated PSU). I'd probably ditch the CD/DVD writer. If you have a PC now, you can just make a windows/linux/iOS installer from a flash drive. Also, more RAM if that's possible to squeeze in. 16GB, my friend. Though, it depends on what kind of editing we're thinking here and if you're running Chrome. As for what I_zhen101 said, the Asus Z-170A is sick. I'd say go for the equivalents between MSI, Gigabyte, or Asus and pick which is has the best deal at the time.
  7. If I can throw in a couple cents, http://www.w3schools.com/ is a great place to start if you're willing to read a lot. Try to get involved in https://github.com/, learn to use it, post your code, and have people critique and edit it on their end. (Programming is quite collaborative) Khan Academy on youtube and The Bad Tutorials as well. There's a huge wealth of resources available. I learned to program in C through my college. It definitely depends on your learning style as well if you need someone to be more hands on with you.
  8. Finally signed up proper to Linus Tech Tips

  9. Honestly, I've never used Feenix's products before. It is my girlfriend and I's one year anniversary soon and she has never had any decent gaming peripherals or computer hardware before because she has never had great financial opportunities. I hope I can give her the anniversary gift she deserves, but, I have been let go from my job recently. I'd appreciate this because I'd be able to improve her experience to the next level and hopefully add some warm and fuzzy feelings too. Also, it'd make the special day a bit easier. Cheers everyone.
