  1. So basicly with the prices I have 1060 is hands down the best option.
  2. hey guys, in my country GTX is 1060 (the one i would pick) costs 340 and GTX 1070 costs 520 (prices include shipping and tax). My CPU is 4930k@4,6GHz so it's not a bottle neck. The question is which GPU gives more fps per dollar ? (RX 480 reference design is exactly the same price as a custom 1060 in my country + i actually have a shield tablet)
  3. Currently using a gtx 960, wanting to upgrade since ive always wanted a 970 but it was jast a little too expensive for me, and now AMD is delivering even better performance (considering dx12) with its awesome rx480
  4. I'd like the keyboard, because I've always wanted to try a mechanical keyboard also my current one is 8 years old and some buttons start acting strange =/ .

    PSU

Hi , my girlfriend is upgrading her PC (she doesnt game at all and all her programs use CPU heavily) so currently she has a GT 210 and the fan on it broke so i offered her my old HD 5770 , but it turned out the PSU she has is some crappy 350w even without a 6pin , so she needs a new PSU. Currently im thinking between XFX Core TS 430W Antec VP-PC 500W Cougar STX 80 Plus 550W In a few month she will upgrade her system to either a 3930k or a 4930k which will be OCd but not heavily. Also she uses just 1 HDD atm and maybe shell buy an SSD later so there aren`t a lot of drives in the system , and the prices for the listed PSU are basicly the same in the shop she will buy it from (not from US or Canada)
  6. If anyone might have the same dilemma as me and wonders what I got, I went with the Silentiumpc grandis xe1236 v2 (I'm from Europe).
  7. I would personally go for it aswell but it isn't compatible with LGA 2011 and my CPU is i7-5820K
  8. Hello forum, I have been searching for an air cooler for I7-5820K , my budget is about 50$ max. I was thinking about PH-TC14S or Cryorig H5. And i really dont like the looks of 212 EVO so pls don't recommend it. My priorities are performance>price>looks>loudness
  9. So I am planning to build a PC specificaly for CPU rendering purpouses, I have an old HD 5770 for some video output laying around so i dont care if CPU has integrated graphics. Main programs would be Cinerender and V-Ray render. I was wondering if dual x5672 + 12 sticks of 1GB or like 8 sticks of 2GB DDR3 would be a good idea, since I could overclock xeons and effectively have 8 cores at 4GHz with HT for like 150$ which is basicly a 5960x for 7 times less, this sounds too good to me so am I missing something ?
  10. I run LG 29UM67 which is basicly the same one you posted and it's amazing, the display is really sharp you won't see those pixels so don't worry about the resolution (also less stress on your GPU).
  11. Hello forum ! I currently run a MyDigitalSSD SC2 Super Cache 2 42mm SATA III 6G M.2 NGFF M2 SSD Solid State Drive (128GB) as my boot drive and a regular 1TB HDD as storage, but since I have got a NAS I don't really need any storage on my PC anymore. I am thinking about swapping the 1TB HDD (I have a laptop) for a Kingston Digital 120GB SSDNow V300to have some extra fast storage since my SSD is packed with programs i'm frequently using and OS. So the question is : can I run those 2 different SSDs in RAID0 considering they use different connections, controllers etc, and will I get any speed boost from that ?(I backup to my NAS daily)
  12. Hello, I have many reasons why a supersmall PC like this one is the perfect machine for my usage scenario : 1. I need an upgrade of my old laptop for gaming/work since its specs aren't really good enough anymore(I'm mostly doing 3D rendering thus my programs are GPU and not CPU intense, so Zotac's processor isn't an issue since 960 will do most of what I need) and the specs of thise one especially considering its size are amazing + I could salvage SODIMM DDR3 RAM, 2.5 HDD and an M2 SSD from my laptop so I would have it running instantly. 2. In 3D modelling/rendering you can never have enough screen space so im running 2 external monitors (laptop monitors are bad unless its a very expensive one, which mine wasn't), with 2 monitors I lack desk space especially with my laptop taking a big portion of it, while if i had Zotax ZBOX MAGNUS i could mount it under my desk. 3. Currently I carry my latop with me daily for classes, because computers we have in my university are quite outdated and again I just plug my laptop to an extarnal monitor in my classrooms not really using it as an actual laptop, rather as a portable PC. 4. When I'm playing games i normally carry my laptop to the living room and plug it to a big 42" TV and play via a wireless controller, thus again using it simply as a portable PC and not as a laptop. When I was buying my laptop 3 years ago i wasn't expecting i wouldn't have a need for its monitor since i always have an external one around and products like Zotac's ZBOX MAGNUS weren't really around at that time so this machine would be a dream come true for me. Thank you for your time, and good luck everyone. P.S. I'm enetring this giveaway on the last day, because I'm actually really interested in winning and I hope theres a higher chance of being noticed. P.P.S. Sorry if I had some grammar mistakes since I'm not a native english speaker.
