Hey I've owned finalmouse scream one which I did for 3-4 months until the scroll wheel broke it just stopped working while browsing a website. After that I send it back to maxgaming.com for replacement which took 2 weeks in total to get new finalmouse mouse this time it was ergo 2 from them. Now I have owned this month roughly same amount.. and yet again it broke down the exact same way as the one before. I took the mouse apart and looked inside it and found design flaw in the scroll wheel. Link for gallery the scroll wheel has two rods it's held by from the both ends. It appears that the end where the sensors for the scroll wheel is broke inside it and it no longer detects is it being scrolled or not. If they would add a small spring or something in there it would totally prevent this kind of failure happening. I believe that over time when you press middle mouse it weakens the rod inside the sensors and finally it just gives up and breaks. I hope zowie mouse series will have a better design in their scroll wheel. maybe zowie will be better build..

Wid0ze 10 file transfer locally just crap or wtf?
SmirG3l replied to SmirG3l's topic in Storage Devices
just to point out that linux is transfering in good speeds while windows isn't it. Here is one screenshot but in windows I've malwarebytes pro which I've set to only manually scan files and windows own one should be disabled completely.- 3 replies

I have noticed this very odd behavior in windows 10 but it doesn't happen in my linux side. I've 1 TB SSD with windows 10 and 500gb SSD with arch linux my daily driver is arch linux but I use windows 10 mainly for gaming and doing some music organizing tasks with foobar and movies that VLC on linux can't play. Anyway I've WD green and WD black drives.. recently I tried to transfer from green to black around 500 files that are between 1-10mb size it began going around 70-80mb/s which is totally fine but slowly it began lowering down to around 10mb/s and even lower at one point it would just show 0 and stay there for like 20 minutes doing nothing. alright then time to boot into arch linux and try the same thing ah okay steady 70-80mb/s file transfer rate locally.. so it can't be failing hard drive because why would linux be okay and windows 10 wouldn't? usually while the transfer rate shows 0 you can hear HDD doing something but on screen nothing is happening which is weird. My guess is that windows 10 has some weird cache managing thing for file transfer or just sucky file transfer program?

FYI I received today reply from their support that repairing the screen etc would actually cost more than just buying second new one so I did.. I even saved up 300€ first monitor was 969€ this was 699€ so yeah why not..

after I have been using it, well I don't mind having then two 1440P monitors hehe I have been curious to have 2 displays for a while maybe this is good excuse to buy second hah.

Hey i noticed my IPS ROG monitor has small scratch in IPS panel area. I was wondering if anyone has experience of ASUS RMA to possibly get it fixed? I know that its not under warranty to get new unit since ive owned it for year soon. am I better off buying new or trying RMA? I did send them note but im waiting for reply. Curious to know am I waiting for lost cause or not.

So this guy right here demonstrates dns requests done by windows 10 vs linux system.. but needs more research to know what those addresses are exactly.. please note that the system is just sitting idle not doing anything.. so.. just watch the whole thing he explains it pretty well.. I saw a tweet this tweet at twitter today where a russian guy with translation text shows in video how windows 10 is taking screenshot every X minute and sending it to microsoft. Of course his running it from VM and he apparently decodes few screenshots that windows 10 took while he was installing and shows them. I think this would need more evidence or investigating to proof this? that's my opinion but it's certainly interesting..at least the guy presents how to do it on the video and evidence of it.. In that case I will get the Pro-ject photo-box with the O2+ODAC. I guess that's decent pre-amp

No, He was just posting for me. So you're suggesting I'd do following: turntable -> Pro-Ject Photo in -> phono out using RCA splitter to 3.5mm -> O2 input -> O2 output headphones?
