  1. I have a Lenovo 100S 11" netbook running Ubuntu Budgie. Battery life is amazing at about 8 hours screen-on-time and it's very useful for browsing, watching movies or videos (at 1080p yes) and with libreOffice I even use it for some school-related projects. I have teamviewer running on my desktop for the tasks it can't handle and do 3D design that way. Picked it up for €80,- with some sticking keys (that were easily disabled). Ubuntu required some mild modification to work but most of the fixes had already been done by other users of the same chipset (it uses a 32-bit UEFI but supports 64-bit OS).
  2. That GPU seems crazy expensive, you should be able to get a better deal on that.
  3. Look for logs in the Event Viewer. Under Windows Logs then System you should be able to see what happened right before the crash.
  4. IMO 6700k is wayy overkill paired with a GTX1070 if you're purely looking for gaming performance. I'm running 2 or 3 VM's at any given time and have yet to find a situation in which my 6700k is the bottleneck while I'm gaming, that's on a triple 1080p setup.
  5. What mok said: 6600k GTX1070 Samsung 750 boot SSD, or something along the line WD Black-ish HDD 16GB DDR4 (any really) Your choice of GPU manufacturer should depend entirely on your market. In my area the MSI card seems to be the best bang for the buck.
  6. A statistical view on Earth is made 1h18m4s into the documentary. If you don't have the time to watch the whole thing, this takes you three minutes to watch and does in fact show a correlation between climate and conflict (1h19m36s). It also explains that some areas are indeed getting colder (Europe).
  7. I know education in the US is virtually non-existent but maybe just try to reschool people? Jobs are coming and going all around the globe, all the time, and don't tell me that's propaganda too, I'm getting tired of these Drumpf supporters. What is your prediction to that debt figure when the rest of the world moves away from oil?
  8. You're the first one to introduce the term fear, congratulations have a xanax.
  9. I just finished watching Before the Flood and it struck me good. Never before have I seen with my own eyes to what extend we are ruining our planet. I feel it's important that every human being realizes what consequenses our ignorance have on our planet. https://www.beforetheflood.com Full film: https://youtu.be/90CkXVF-Q8M I've never asked this before but please, spread.
  10. I take it you meant to say: Choose your words wisely, handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs.
  11. "Talking about" doesn't mean a thing. Combined, the altcoin market cap has been steadily climbing for years, source.
  12. OP never mentioned that he was about to mine Bitcoin. While your statement is correct, there are many other cryptocurrencies where mining could be profitable if the currencies altcoins value rises over time.
  13. Certainly a possibility, have done this before. Make sure you have SLI off as you'd want the 670 to run independently. I don't remember what software I used to mine but both the Linux and Windows build had a commandline option for selecting a specific GPU.
