It seems AMD has made some absolutely massive strides if their internal numbers hold true. A 1% increase in single-core performance on the 4.4GHz boost 3700X despite the 9700K having a 4.9GHz boost. 500MHz less, yet 1% faster. Even if AMD is being screwy with the system configurations by running 3200MHz RAM on their systems and 2666MHz memory on the Intel system, their Zen 2 chips should still have higher IPC than Intel's 9th Gen. Even considering Intel IPC hasn't gone anywhere since Skylake, that's a huge upset.

 

I just hope the testing was run more fairly than Principled Technologies' Intel Core i9 testing.

    I do hope some one tests with identical RAM.

     

    RAM speed helps a good bit in Cinebench.

     

    Even if it's just 3200/3400/3600 testing that would satisfy most imo.
