  1. 100% agree. I don't know why companies still use stock Cherry stabilizers in their keyboards, they're much more prone to feeling flimsy and rattling. At the very least they should come with clipped Cherry stabilizers. ASUS uses Costar stabilizers on their Claymore keyboard which feel great, although annoying to remove but the improved feel/noise is worth it. It's a shame I could never get a Claymore with MX Blues in the USA. As for the topic, I use MX Blues for gaming all the time and I prefer them to Reds and Browns. Browns would be my second choice though, not really a fan of linear switches.
  2. It's probably fine, they're using that new logo on their new keyboards: http://www.corsair.com/en-ww/k70-rgb-se-rapidfire-mechanical-gaming-keyboard-with-white-pbt-keycaps-cherry-mx-speed-rgb
  3. Ducky ONE TKL - https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=2423 or the MasterKeys S PBT - http://www.coolermaster.com/peripheral/keyboards/masterkeys-s-with-superior-pbt-keycaps/
  4. I've returned multiple cards with coil whine through both the vendor and manufacturer RMA. You're right though, of all the cards I've owned my 970 G1 from Gigabyte by far had the loudest coil whine, but it's a gamble with any brand. The quality of the components used can usually help reduce it, as well as having a quality PSU.
  5. Seems the price was accurate. USA prices are $200 for the mid-tower, $150 for the Micro ATX and $130 for mini ITX.
  6. Not on the BlackWidow X models. The normal BlackWidow models do.
  7. I found it for sale already at OverclockersUK and the case seems to be on the expensive side. Here's the link: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/nzxt-h700i-midi-tower-gaming-case-black-ca-18m-nx.html
  8. The BlackWidow X only comes with clicky, tactile switches. If you're interested in something like Cherry MX Reds, that's the complete opposite. I'd go with the Ducky over any gaming keyboard as it has a standard size bottom row, PBT keycaps, detachable cable, good stabilizers and much more switch choices.
  9. This seems to be the case they're teasing:
  10. That's correct. You can only set the keyboard to 2.0 or 3.0 mode which increases the brightness slightly but you can't adjust brightness at all, it's either on or off. The lighting on the TKL in person, is pretty dim as well.
  11. That's just the downsides of stock Cherry stabilizers, a lot of people find them to be mushy or to rattle. Sometimes lubrication can help, for me it doesn't make enough of a difference though and from now on I only use keyboards that come with clipped Cherry stabilizers or preferably, Costar. Sometimes requesting a replacement could help if you get a board with better quality control.
  12. The Razer BlackWidow X TE Chroma is on sale at BestBuy if you live in the USA for $99 as well, which would be much better than the Ornata for the same price. Also comes with cable routing. You're limited to only clicky keys though, which is why I initially suggested the Ducky One, since it comes with different switch choices. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/razer-blackwidow-x-tournament-edition-chroma-mechanical-gaming-keyboard/5202705.p?skuId=5202705
  13. Ducky One TKL RGB. It's RGB, standard size bottom row, Doubleshot ABS keycaps, cable routing, very simplistic font and look, white backplate, removable cable. Only thing is I think it's a tad bit over your budget.
  14. PixArt PMW 3360 sensor and their variants, depending on what company is using it. It's considered the "best" sensor currently available from a performance and technical standpoint. So basically, mice like: Logitech G303, G PRO, G403(wired and wireless), G502, G900 Razer Deathadder Elite Roccat Kone Pure Owl Eye, Roccat Kone EMP Corsair M65 Pro Finalmouse Scream One There's others from smaller, less popular companies, these are just the more popular ones off the top of my head. So there's lots of choices out there. Go for one that suits your hand size and grip preference.
  15. Stabilizers can be lubed, I'd only do it if they're squeaking which is more common for Costar stabilizers. Switches/springs can also be lubed, but it'll change the feeling of the switch and require you to to take the whole keyboard apart which I wouldn't recommend doing at all. If you want to read more about it, check out this link:
  16. Have you looked at the G Pro/102 or G303? Those are some really small mice.
  17. While I haven't dealt with ROCCAT, I can tell you from experience not everyone provides return labels, even if a device is faulty. Here's my experience with a few companies: Razer - They paid for shipping both ways for my DA: Chroma replacement. Corsair: I had to pay shipping to get a replacement PSU. Logitech: They paid shipping both ways for the G303. HyperX: I had to pay shipping to get a replacement for my Cloud II when the audio on one side stopped working. Some retailers even charge restocking fees under certain circumstances, so I'd just eat the shipping cost and be done with it if I were you.
  18. Hope this was sarcasm, considering Ducky keyboards are made in Taiwan, while Corsair keyboards are the ones made in China. Not that it should matter, since almost everything you own is made in China. As to the OPs question, I recommend the DS6 over the LUX RGB, I have both keyboards with RGB Blues and the switches QC and stabilizers are leagues better on the DS6. Also getting a K70 with RGB Blues involves signing up for a mailing list and waiting for limited supply.
  19. The Glorious mousepads would probably be better for you. I own the MM300 and the Glorious, the Glorious definitely glides faster than the MM300, but it still has enough control for my needs. You may want to watch this quick video for some comparisons:
  20. Keyboards are alright, my only real complaints with their keyboards are the software isn't that great, lighting could be better and their stabilizers aren't that great either. There's better options though like the Ducky Shine series but for mainstream "gaming" keyboards, they're one of the most popular. I'd avoid their mice and headsets.
  21. Go for the K95 Plat, at $110 it's a steal considering the MSRP is $200. The BlackWidow V1 probably has the old switches and lacks the improvements of the V2.
  22. They're really not bad at all, I have a K70 LUX with Blues and a ROG Claymore with MX Browns, I still use my BlackWidow X with Greens as my main keyboard.
  23. Cherry recently updated their switches and production so that could be why you feel a difference, read here for more info and picture comparisons: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=88031.0
  24. True, yep, I think I'll look into finding a good deal on a 3770k for now. With Ryzen just released and after looking at current benchmarks, the 3770k is on a spot where I'd be more than happy with the performance it gives and definitely looks like a solid upgrade over my 2500k without spending 2-3x the amount on something newer. Thank you to everyone who helped, I appreciate it.
