  1. Hey man, I moved the RAM into slots 2 and 4 and the problem is fixed. System is running stable at 3600MHz. Thanks a lot for your help with this.
  2. Ahh, I have them in slots 1 and 3 just now. I'll try moving them tomorrow. I'm trying to get my head around all of this. This is my first new build in quite a while and all of this is new to me. Thanks for the advice
  3. Well when I enable D.O.C.P it allows me to change the speed? Or am I missing something. I'm new to this with RAM. This is my first new build in 5 years.
  4. Hi all, I have recently built a new rig and got Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB of DDR4 3600MHZ. When I first booted up noticed it was running at 2166MHZ so I went into the BIOS and enabled D.O.C.P. I first tried setting it to 3600MHz but it crashed so I've lowered the speed incrementally until it stopped crashing at 3200MHz. I was just wondering why I can't get it stable at the speed it says on the pack? I have it paired with a Ryzen 9 3900XT and an ASUS Strix X570-F Motherboard. Any help will be appreciated.
  5. I've been trying to find somewhere in Edinburgh who could repair the screen on my uncles Surface Pro 3 and I cant. So I tried to see if Microsoft could repair it and it doesn't say on their website. Does anyone know if Microsoft can repair the screen or not?
  6. I'm planning on going to 4k soon, il be using 1080p for the next 3 months at most. Thanks for the reply
  7. Thanks for the speedy replies, I'll definitely have a look at that EVGA PSU
  8. Hey guys, I'm going to be upgrading my GPU from a HD 7950 to an R9 290x Lightning in a couple of days. I'm also planning on buying another one next month. So what kind of power consumption am I looking at. I've been thinking of getting a Super Flower 850w 80+ plus gold as I read that the cards in crossfire wont use more than 750w, but I'm not sure if this is true or not. I'm just not wanting to be spending more than I have to on the PSU. P.S. My current PSU is an XFX Core Edition 550w. Thanks in advance for any help and advice.
  9. My network card is PCI not PCIEX, and the only PCI slot on my mobo will be inaccessible when i put a card into PCIEX16_2. there is one floor between my router and pc and i have a Super Hub 2 from virgin media on 30mb/s package
  10. Hey guys, I'm planning on buying two MSI R9 290x Lightning cards after the year but they are quite big and will be taking up about 3 slots each. This means that I will no longer have room for a wireless card inside my PC. My pc is in the top floor of my house and my router in the bottom so I don't really want to be running a big cable around my house. I was thinking of maybe a USB wireless dongle, or something along those lines, but I don't how these tend to perform. So if someone could give me any ideas that would be great. Thanks.
  11. Hey Guys, I've not used my Hauppauge HD PVR 2 in a while and I decided to try to record with it. i downloaded the latest version of Capture from Hauppauge's website and it all installed fine with no problems. However, when I'm in Capture I need to change my audio input from HDMI to Line in/out. When I try to do this, my PC immediately crashes to a blue screen. Capture is installed on an SSD, and I'm running the windows 10 preview, I suspect it may have something to do with this. So if anyone has had a similar or the same problem, and/or knows how to fix it please tell me. thanks. This is what happens when it crashes.
  12. . Not sure but I had an engineer out earlier today and he replace the router and every thing was fine, but then he left and this problem started.
  13. Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my router. It's a super hub 2 from virgin media and I am on a 30 mb/s package. When my pc is turned off and I do the ookla speed test on my phone, I get 13ms ping and constant 30mb/s download speed. But when my pc is turned on my ping shoots up and I get around 2mb/s download speed. Has anyone experienced this before and if so do you have any idea what's going on and how to fix it. Thanks.
  14. He I've looked at that, but when I right click on it I get no such options.
